Metal body upgrades
i bought an src m4 a couple months ago, and the plastic lower has a disturbing amount of flex where the buttstock mounts. i have seen posts about replacing with metal lowers, and am curious, if these are legally available, why do the retailers sell the aeg with a clear or tinted plastic lower in the first place?

Metal receivers won't make it past the border, though they're legal to own. That's why we have cansoft/clearsoft in Canada. To get a metal lower you will need to get AVed and buy it from the classifieds.

There are ways to get metal lowers, namely here on the ASC classifieds.
