Your first airsoft gun....
Hey guys I got my AV late last week and have been reading and reading the fourms on diff guns and such but still not 100% sure on what I want.I would like to play just outdoor games and was thinking of getting a src m16 a3 or is there something better or just the same for a cheaper price? I am not looking to buy anything for $300 as I know you get what you pay for..So I am asking what was YOUR first starter gun when you started to play??

JG HK 416. other than some repairs right after I got it (I believe they were caused by somebody drop kicking it in transit) it has worked beautifully. only problem I have run into was a set of madcaps not feeding correctly.
and a WE Hi-Cappa, it works very nicely, however i have not gamed it yet since I broke the feed lips the day I got it and did not get a pair until the very end of the season and I did not get to a game last year. I will have to find a holster for it before I game also.

Well, depends. I have three first guns in fact.
Crappy first : Both Elephant Xm8. I spent 300 bucks on it, crapped out on me within a month Decent first : S&W M3000 shotgun. The fact I was shooting wonders around people with AEG's with this thing before I was age verified... Yeah Good first : Classic Army M24. I was one of those typical n00bs who were obsessed with sniper rifles and decided to get one as a first gun. I loved the damn thing but ended up parting with it last year. Served me a few good years. What I use now : A self built AK47 and now a CA G36E. Most of my gun purchases were more of a learning experience than anything. |

Bone stock used Tokyo Marui M4 RIS. Had some accessories. It had an M16 upper receiver (integrated carry handle).
So sweet. It was the greatest gun ever. Until I started upgrading it.. lol. I just did not know how to do the mechanical work then. Shimming was awful. Got a mislabelled PDI 190 spring in a PDI 170 package, so my gears stripped lol. Replaced them, finally got it working, then sold it! Moved on to a CA M24, and then to a G&G SR25. Now using a custom build M4 that I love.

Classic Army G36 full size. Still have it. Still my primary (although now it's an SL-9). Awesome gun.

technically my first Airsoft gun was a crappy tire pump action single shot shot gun. but that does not count and would be blasphemy to pile in with real Airsoft.

TM Sig 552 when they were first released, then a Jap KSC Glock 19, the former I still have. I do wish I didn't sell that 552... It was only 400$ preorder back in the day.. And now that I am gearing up again years later everything is so expensive!
