MAG Brand 130rds Problems.
I just got a parcel from AirsoftGi today and i gotta say these mags just wont want to work with my G&G GR16A3. I can fill them fine, but they just dont seam to want to work for me. Load em up, pop em in, first couple shots on semi work, then it seams to either jam or the spring on the top seams to not let the bbs pass through the top. Any help on fixing this problem would be very very much appreciated. Thanks much guys.

It's not an uncommon problem with plastic magazine. The BB retention clip is too long.
Take a sharp knife or a metal file and remove a little bit of the tip of that clip, starting with maybe 0.5mm and test the mag. If that fixes your problem, do that to all your mags.

I just got my package of 100 rnd MAG brand mags and im happy there sturdy and fit with less woble compared to my metal mid cap. The feeding lip seemes fine on mine.
Just file it lightly because to much will make the bb's explode after you speedy them |

It seems a typo?? 130 rds? Never heard that before.. I have MAG magazines hold 100rds and works fine with my G&G AEG. The only issue I have is using Madbull .28 bbs and it seems jam quite a bit.... Try spray 2 seconds of silicon oil in the spring and in the lip. See if that solve the issue. |

Lube them with a good shot of silicone spray. I have some 100 rounders that after I modded the lip to fit correctly, they wouldn't feed right. Sprayed in some lube and shot a magful of bbs through each and now they are good.

Mine are King arms plastic mags but you can try a little bit of tape on the top back hafe of the mag and on the bottom of the mechbox in the magwell if it's the BB retention clip. This fixed my BB retention clip problem and eliminated mag wobble at the same time and I can still use my other metal mags aswell.
Try putting the full mag in the gun and push the bottom of the mag forward/up and hold it there and fire the gun and see if it feeds right and the tape mite just work for you. The tape you can take off if it doesn't work. Cutting the BB retention clip you can't take back so be careful not to cut to much out, if you go that way. Here's some thread's on plastic mag feeding problem's. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...ssfeeding+mags http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...King+Arms+mags http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=71646 Last edited by zone 69; January 14th, 2010 at 05:03.. |

Alright thanks guys.
I sprayed some silicon in each, and it just seams they keep jamming.. Im using G&G .20g bbs but i've put em through the hicap that came with the gun fine. Im gonna try cutting .5mm off the retention clip, see if that makes a diffrence. |

you gave a good shot of spray into the mag??? not just at the feed lip ..yes? If it's not the lip give the mag another good shot of spray, and load the mag up full, and then empty, and refill it and then try it. give the spring a good working.

Seems to be a recurring issue. I've never gotten Madbull BBs to feed reliably in any AEG mag. They seem fine in pistols, but they cause feed problems in all my AEG mags except high caps.

None of my mags/AEG's like madbull's. Tracer .25 rounds are fine though. They aren't polished as well as bastards or metal tech even though they say polished on them. they seem to grip the inside of the mag and jam up. lubing the mag only works for a little while then they jam up again. They madbull BB's I've used to cycle mags in lubing have shot fine so I had an idea. I took a half full bag of madbulls and added a couple small drops of silicon to if and swished it around until they were all coated, and no obvious wet spots on the bag, then they seemed to work fine but the obvious build up of gunk on the hop and inner was noticeable. So, madbull's have become the 40mm's ammo of choice. |

I found that the plastic bit on the end of the spring that pushs the BBs along has a seem thats sharp and it gets jamed on the inner walls of the mag.
Try the fix I Linked in my last post. |

I did exactly as you said, still a no go. =| man I'm pissed. I spent $200 bucks on that order, which evens out to about 13 or 14 bucks a magazine, and they both don't work. i Guess thats what i get for buying the cheap crap. Looks like im going Magpul PMAG 120 rounders. Here we come Ehobby.
