"Best" stock tube / Buffer tube for M4 AEG
I've been going nuts with my search-fu.
What out there currently is a really, really high quality buffer tube for an M4 AEG? I really would love the "shiney" style PTW buffer tube, but that's a no-go. I'm really fed up with monkey metal buffer tubes that don't hold their paint properly or just don't handle hard use well. An aluminum or steel buffer tube would be prefered; bonus points if there is a "shiney" like the PTW buffer tube out there that I could use. Thanks in advance! |

G&P makes some SOLID buffer tubes... however, I don't know of many places where they're for sale yet... I got one on a promotional G&P viper I bought a little while ago and it's the nicest buffer tube I've seen on a regular AEG (Made out of quality aluminum threads are crisp and deep, internal lock washer that holds the tube steady has a nice well machined channel cut for a locking piece inside)
Buuuut I'm not sure they're for sale yet. |

The Magpul PTS pipe is the best build quality of standard AEG tube i've seen so far. however you will need to do some modification to the buffer that sits inside the stock pipe so that it will let wires pass through. You can fit 7.4/11.1 buffer lipo inside but it will be VERY tight.
G&P Crane pipes are also very good, however you need to buy the full cranestock kit. |

Necro, but it's my thread...
PWS Buffer Tube PWS just released a really spiffy buffer tube for real steel, and considering some stuff is already under license for madbull, we may see a better buffer tube as a licensed replica. |
