Internal Upgrades?

Hi! So, I am new to this site (found it on google while looking up other airsoft related subjects), and I thought it might be cool or helpfull to join! So, I have this Wal-Mart gun, (I know...they suck, its not my main gun, infact, far from it, I own a JG M4 as my main M4). But, I think I might want to upp-grade it. It is a "Panther Arms DPSM M4, with no retractible stock". It cost me just over around $100. So, yes, why would I upgrade one (I am on other forums, I know the questions :P)...Well, its not a terribly bad gun...wait...no, that came out wrong. Its not terribly BUILT. Its made out of I think the same plastic as my JG, goes as fast, and it hasn't jammed once. The only thing that rattles are the strap clips, and when the magazine is in...I have dropped it, and it didn't break...soo...So, I just thought, since I have some extra money, I would want to know what I could or should do, or what you guys would do to upgrade it. Kind of a weird first post isn't it? Well, thank you!

I believe I have the same one. I took it apart to try to learn to fix my own guns and realized that the internals are NOT the same, thus upgrades=fail. Besides, the gun is full plastic, even the internals are plastic. There's really no point in upgrading it. You're better off saving your money. If you want to learn to poke at insides, buy an echo 1 or something cheap (but still more than walmart).

Ha, yeah, I like Echoe's. Wow...really? I didn't really know that the internals were plastic...Lol...I automatically assumed that you cannot place a metal gearbox, but just in case right ? But thanks, thats good to know. That would be a waste if someone told me to buy a bunch of stuff, then it wont work. Lol, thanks man!

Basically, I just want to know if there is anything else...Better barrell? Maybe better hop-up system...I know, like the guy said, the internals ARE different, but some "stuff" is still the same...That, I am positive of!

First of all you can spend a couple thousand just on one AEG, so this leads me to the question whats your budget?
Are you going to be doing High Torque or High Speed?
What is your role going to be? (Support, Rifleman, Recon etc.)
Any externals?

Reference: High Speed (340fps or lower) higher rate of fire
High Torque (360fps or higher) slower rate of fire

Note: Fps has very little to do with range/accuracy, hence a TM M4 Shoots 280fps
