My first mod
This is my first mod. and my first time working with metal
I was bored so i wanted to test my hand at modding airsoft guns so I went to put a rail on my TM AK-47. I yanked one off my Opsgear M107 paintball gun ( the thing has like a km of rails on it) and took apart my Ak. I got the bottom grip off and lined up as best I could to make it even spots to drill, the upper part of the rail didnt fit in the Ak properly but I cut and grinded (my first time doing both) to fit nicely inside. then I drilled and fastened on the rail and cut off the exess screw that would block the barrel. then, being confident I could now work with metal, remembered seeing an Ak with a short barrel that I thought was pretty cool so I hacked away at the barrel and innerbarrel till I though it was short enough. I had to re drill a hole for the sights to fasten on and it amazingly turned out straight. the hard part was getting that little rod that sits under the barrel back on. I had to cut and cut and grind for that thing to be short enough as I didnt know how to measure it I had to eye it. but it finally got on. and this is what turned out the m203 is the only undermount item I have so I understand if it looks a little awquard Its not done yet. I think it looks cooler with a shortened barrel and there are many more things I want to do to this gun. mainly shorten the gas tube but the barrel is thicker under the gas tube than it is beyond it so I'll need a laithe. the whole thing took about 2 hours minus 30 min of sucking my finger when I touched the really hot end of that fuckin little rod after grinding it for 5 minutes. Any one got any other ideas on how I could mod it? or suggestrions? helpfull criticism etc?

Not bad, I like the shorter barrel.

Pro-tip, next time just take the AK47 barrel out and cut it at the back and re-drill the retaining hole... It makes things ALOT neater and ALOT easier.
