Aluminum BB's for Training?

My search fu may be bad, the only thing I came up with for Alumnium BB's was this: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...ht=aluminum+bb

I'm wondering if anyone has -tried- reusing aluminum BB's? If I was firing in a closed environment, against a soft target, I'm thinking that the BB's shouldn't deform and being a metal they should be pretty durable.

I'd be looking at using my cansoft KJW G23, so am not looking for 'don't reuse BB's, you can blow up your gun and make chuck norris cry' responses. I'm looking to see if anyone has tried. I know that BB's are alot cheaper than live-fire training, but I'd still like to know if the investment in metal BB's would allow me to recoup the additinal costs.

...whats wrong with plastic bbs? metal BBs would have complete shit performance, and they would wreck your gun, so even though you say you dont want this kind of response, thats all i can say

I've used them, they are soft aluminum, and end up being about the same robustness as plastic BBs. I wouldn't bother using them overall.

Blah, BBs are not that expensive, especially if you switch to .2's for short range indoor practice.

What sort of results are you looking to get? I mean what is the purpose of using metal BBs?

I re-use bbs for grenades .. they can be used multiple times.. as we can sweep them up and rinse them after actions at TTAC3

in one night I collected about 6000

They're round and they have the correct weight.... why would they be any worse than plastic bbs?

practice with the BB's you'd use in the field. what's the point of practicing with one thing but use something different to play? I highly doubt that they act identically.
