King Arms G36 Magazines Problem, won't lock into mag release!
I recently got some King Arms 95rnd G36 magazines for my CA G36K but they're such a tight fit in the magwell that the mag release doesn't catch. I've tried sanding one of them down a bit but I don't want to go to far for fear of magwell wobble. Does anyone know which part of the King Arms mags needs t be sanded down to make them fit properly? I've read a couple posts on a few websites talking about the tight fit, but they don't detail what they sanded down to make them work.
Thanks in advance!

I just got some of those very same mags and found the the tight spot to be on the front of the magwell. There's 2 small raised strips or guides in there. I would try to give them alitle bit of a sand. Mine fit great after just working the magazines in and out a couple of times, so it should'nt take much to fix.

that doesn't seem to be the problem here, I tried sanding down both the ridges in the magwell and the front part of the mag that rubs up against them and it was just as tight. The magazine fits in the magwell okay but it needs to be FORCED to latch into the mag release by pushing on the bottom backside of the mag up into the magwell...

hmm dont know what to suggest than. Mine are still snug and I've gotta show them some love to seat them nice but it's not that bad. What was a give away for me was when I put them in the first time, the magwell marked the magazine where it was rubbing really bad. Try cleaning the area of the magazines that sit in the magwell, and see if there are any "rub" marks on them after you've put them in/out of the magwell. If there is, that will show you where to sand a bit. Don't know if that helps but it's all I can think of. Good luck.

Put a few drops of oil on the ridges inside the magwell or other places that make contact. Either this, or get some chalk and make markings on the inside of the magwell.
Then force your King Arms mags in and then see where the oil or chalk is left or scrapped off. I suggest you buy some TM mags

I'll try the oil and chalk ideas though, thanks!

Just keep manually sanding them until they fit. That's what I did back when I had a CA G36K and King Arms 95rd mags.
They will eventually fit perfectly and feel a lot more solid than the CA or TM g36 mags. |

Do you remember where you were sanding? Everywhere that makes contact with the mag well?

I had the same problem for a while. After many ins and outs they fitted quite well actually. I didn't have to sand.
