Recoil Spring for Hi-Capa 4.3?
Do they make specific sets for 4.3? What would happen if you put the 5.1 size spring in it?

Yes, they do. Guarder makes it.
Not sure if a 5.1 would fit. I think it would actually fit, but it'd end up being like... a Guarder 180%. lol. You could just chop the length down a bit. The worst that I can see happening is losing the slide lockback. |

trying to make a shopping list from Redwolf and they don't carry the 4.3 spring, and I'd hate to get another site's list going....lol

I'm 99% sure I have a stock 5.1 in my 4.3 as of last night...I had all the parts laid out (2 x 5.1 and a 4.3) and got the recoil springs mixed up.
The only one I can tell for sure is the 4.3 short stroke spring I picked up off of Illusion a while ago. |

well I ordered the 5.1 spring. So I'll either use it if it works, and if its too much then I'll chop it...

I've been running a Guarder 5.1 recoil spring in my 4.3 with no ill effects. I am using an SD metal slide, for reference. The slide still locks back on empty, but it's noticeably very much snappier. If anything, it probably reduces the amount of recoil/barrel flip felt - take note all you race fans.

The short stroke length of the 4.3 naturally makes the action on it much much faster than the 5.1.
I have a project because of that fast ROF in the works for that very reason... |
