Does anyone know if there is a mod, or a connector to convert to plug into Cobra walkie talkies?

May not be cheaper, but it would have MUCH less head ache and work SO much better if you were just to pick up a UHF radio with a kenwood connector.

New ones can be had for $100 to the door if you do your research.

Seconded. I just got a Linton 6288 radio on ebay last month for $80 or so. Used it at Border Wars, and it was awesome. You'd be much better off with something like that.

Throwing those away and getting a new one is a good thng. Those Cobras and others like them that use AA batteries suck for longevity. A few people had them at the last outdoor game I went to and they all died. I have a 5 watt with integral Li-ion battery and I played around with it before the game, used it the whole game, and after that it was still 3/3 battery bars.

That's a fault of people not replacing the batteries, not of the radios. I used some before I got my Saber, and they helped out at least.

Keep them around and let guys without radios use 'em. They'll at least be able to hear you if you have a 5W.

Agreed. I've kept my old cheap radios for that very purpose. At least it's some form of extra communication for your team, even if not ideal.

Oh ! yeah. I brought my radio KENWOOD TH-22AT 144 MHz FM TRANSCEIVER but still can't find out how to use it since everyone use UHF radio. So how about mine ? Is it any useful usage for it ? Thanks in advance.

If not, Am I be able to sell it for how much ?

Cheers !

True, but I never keep them always charged on the desk charger. I leave the batts out. And they use 3 AAA batteries. So that also isn't a bad thing if the original rechargable battery dies out. heh
These Cobras have survived for over 5-6 years.
