SERIOUSLY DUDE. WTF are you asking? If plastic is as good as fabric?

A BB will stop on a PB mask and not stop with a balaclava. A thick balaclava will
protect you but is very hot/stuffy. I took a shot in the face while wearing a lighweight
hatch nomex 'clava and lost part of a tooth.

Now I just wear a mouthguard. Afterall, the balaclava was to protect my teeth in the first place.

Where can I go for additional information on this subject?

A friend of mine (Chuck D*) uses Saran Wrap and says it's just as good as a paintball mask. He wraps two layers snugly around his face and seals it tightly with duct tape around his forehead and neck, so BBs can't get in under it. Don't cut any holes into it for eyes and nose the way you would for a balaclava since that will compromise the surface tension and pretty much ruin it's ability to stop BBs. Don't worry, the Saran Wrap is perfectly clear and doesn't obstruct vision.

* The D in Chuck D stands for Darwin.

yea those things are going to make you uncomfortably hot, even in winter time maybe with all the moving around and running you may do in game. the one with the visor looks retarded if you ask me
you should just pick up a helmet and goggles and maybe a shemagh
getting hit in the face stings as much as getting shot in most places but not nearly as much as you would think. i know, ive had bbs hit me in the neck, cheeks, and eyebrows and it really doesnt hurt as much as i think youd expect it to. a bb to your scalp will hurt 5 times more and bring tears to your eyes. be more worried about protecting eyes and teeth than feeling pain

p.s. im talking from ranged distance experience not cqb

LMFAO!! stick with the wrap dude :P, btw u realli shouldnt worry bout pain as Dusti69 (:S) said, u should worry bout ur eyes being shot, afterall if ur fully covered and dont feel the pain, it just takes away from the experience of the game, chances are if the shots dont hurt u as much u wont try to aviod them as much (that and theres another factor.. the ppl u play with.. if ur covered up they might all corner u and keep shootin at u :P)
