Talking JG H&K 416

Hi all,

I was thinking of buying a JG H&K 416 and i was wondering is this a good AEG?
Can you find parts for this AEG? can the internal of the AEG be upgraded?
Does this AEG have any problems that i should know of? If you all can help me that would be so GREAT!

Thanks

How did you get verified without reading the FAQs!? My faith in the system has been irrevocably shattered!

There are plenty of parts for it, it can be easily upgraded. For problems or a review, google "JG 416 review".

from what i hear its supposed to be a good starter, one of JG's better models, just need to put in some metal bushings etc. to make it last longer, doesn't really need much upgrading out of the box

as far as reviews...google?

Here you go, an excellent and thorough review by TokyoSeven, right here on ASC and is the first on the list when you search for it

Well, reading FAQs is not a prerequisite for age-verification, and really, I'm not even sure how it applies to this question. However, I will say that the search function of the forum works quite well. There's a lot of info here.

As for the gun, I love mine. I installed metal bushings and it's a beast of a gun. It's got a few external mods, but internally, it's stock except for metal bushings and a new anti-reversal latch (old one wouldn't stay in place to close the mechbox). It looks good and shoots great. I love this gun.

Hey Crunchmeister which metal bushings brand did you use for your JG HK416?
I've had a hell of a hard time trying to install some G&P and Guarder bushings on mine, and I know TokyoSeven also had some fitting issues with systema bushings.

"These are made specifically for the old version Jing Gong gearboxes, which use thinner and slightly wider 6mm bushings. New version JG gearboxes take regular 6mm bushings."

Uh, I thought the JG HK416 is one of the newer JG gearboxes.
I had an M733, which had the old JG gearbox, and the modify was indeed the only bushings that actually fitted there, but haven't tried them on the HK416 since I thought they were the newer gearboxes.

From what I understand some of the newer released JG 416s with the systema clone mechboxes should have metal bushings already installed. However that was also supposed to be how the originals were as well and that was not true.

I bought the 416 that T7 had and reviewed and I love it. Fits almost all 5.56 mags (I've had feeding issues with King Arms 120 round Midcaps, other than that though, it's been all mint). Lots of rails for external mods, all I've done for the insides was a tightbore inner barrel, but as has been said it's compatible with numerous internal upgrade parts. Rumour has it that the mechbox is a Systema clone (in the newer versions if none else, but I've no idea how to confirm that). The plastic body is durable, and hasn't cracked or chipped on me yet, doesn't creak when I hold it, and I've held it tight and moved my hands to see what kind of play was in the grip, and noticed barely any with minimal to no creak.

All in all, I'd reccomend this gun as a keeper, I know I'll be keeping mine.

I have one for my little brother, impressed so far, did a once over of the box when I got it, metal bushings as recomended, new shims, I put a TM Piston and Head in it as well, Guarder tappet plate as I didnt like the look of the stock one, just looked cheap to me.

Works great, I recomend it for a reasonable priced starter gun.

A standard 8.4volt will not fit the handguard.
The only options are to buy a faux PEQ that you like or rewire to the stock.

I haven't played with the internals of the 416, but would a 7.4v lipo nunchuck fit in the handguard?
