AK Body Replacement

Hey so I'm looking for some advice;
My Cyma Ak47B decided that it's lower receiver body looked better with a huge crack down the middle of it which worked out to my advantage as it means I can replace the only plastic part of my gun with metal.

I have at my disposal the option to get an echo 1 ak47 body or a dboys ak74 body with folding stock. I'm just wondering if anyone can foresee any modding problems if I get either of these lower receivers or if Cyma's are pretty open to body modifications.

thanks,

yep, maybe wasnt the case for you, but for myself and a few others the elements fit in almost perfectly and are very durable.

I bolded "well built". It's very, very cheap alloy, breaks and cracks easily. Mine also fit fairly perfectly, but the ICS bolt cracked it in no time. I'm not the only one that this has happened to. Other people also have broken tang tabs and such.

It's worth the money, but you can't say it's well built. It's great for what it's worth, good choice for a cheap metal upgrade.

I bought an Element AK74 body when they first came out and yes for the price and hassle free install it was a steal.

However recently I've seen firsthand two element receivers that had fitment issues. Seems some recent lots are being cast too thick, and this is leading to selector switch problems.

Nope, Just a large chunk of metal that'll hit the front. Doesn't even have that much weight to it.

Keep in mind: ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD, ELEMENT METAL BODIES ARE 25 DOLLARS

I Just bought an element body with a crack in it because of an ICS bolt, if you play with the bolt without the front end on it, there is nothing to absorb the force of the bolt slamming forward, and you end up cracking your metal body.

ebaybanned.com fell through in its order of shipping me a real steel ak lower reciever body? anyone know where i can get one for cheap, I don't wanna pay over 60 for it because I have seen a few sites that advertise them for 100 something and it doesn't make any sense to me to pay that much when i paid 170 for my kraken ak.

metal bodies are prohibited for import so much like the inflated in-country price of guns, the receivers are also marked up substantially, hence the high prices.
