Either will work just as good.

I have a King Arms one - I love it.
Although there's really nothing special about it. It's just never lost it's setting over time Some CA hop ups I've used have come un-tuned over time/repeated use. The KA one I have hasn't. At least - not yet. |

Jesse,
The King Arms Enhanced unit is really nice. All of the units that I've setup in customer's rifles have worked well. The only "downside" to them is that the C-clip that holds the barrel locked into the unit is really hard to get on and is near impossible to get off without damaging the clip. I suppose that's a good thing if you don't intend on swapping out barrels...but hopup rubbers do need changing for various reasons. The G&P unit has been great for me too. It's more of a "regular" unit, but it does the job. At airsoftparts.ca the price difference is only $5-10 so I usually buy the King Arms one if it's in stock. Tys |

My G&P hopup was the cause of all my gun problems!
Once it was swapped out for something better the gun works fine! |

Does its funky design really properly index the inner barrel? That'd make it all worth it.

All of the ones that I've installed does keep the barrel in place. Forward/back and rotationally. With sole addition of maybe another odd notch on the ends of the clip, visually the KA clip doesn't look any different than others...but it is killer stiff to put on around the barrel and a real pain to take off. i.e. you feel like it's going to snap...and then it locks into position.
You still have the proper installation of the hopup rubber...which isn't hard, but it seems to be at least somewhat common for others to get wrong and "buckle/warp" the feed lips. |

I've only installed 3 G&P units (which all worked fine)...I think I have an extra one in the parts bin. If I get the chance I'll chuck it into another rifle quickly and see if there's any issues...couldn't see why off hand.
What issues were you guys having? Feed tube too tight? Poor air sealing? |

All the problems listed there were fixed with swapping the G&P hopup to a Guarder one.... |

I read your thread as it developed...and remember the issues (bbs left stuck in barrel, jammed up in flash hider...neat), but I don't recall there being a consensus of what was causing the problem (sure swapping out the hopup unit made the problems go away...but what was wrong with the original hopup unit?).
Questions like: Did the bbs not flow up into and transfer into the chamber reliably? (that shouldn't cause them to jam/stop in the barrel) Was there a massive air loss, if so where? For the shots that did come out, what was the velocity (and how did you have it setup)? I'm not looking to rehash the whole troubleshooting thing...I just wondered how many G&P units you had problems with to convince you to never use them again. |

To quote
"drache sent it to me, received it this morning and I just finished fixing it. Seems like the stock G&P hop up unit was made in the dumpster, unstable, flimsy gears, and it had a larger than average boresize for the barrel to fit inside. This caused movement inside the hop up unit and there was unwanted amount of inner barrel movement, the C clip also didnt help, it actually didnt even hold the barrel in place. It was also missing the spring that contacts the body to the hop up unit." |
