not a bad price???
thats 157 CAD... seems a bit much just for the shell... considering a CA reinforced shell (one of the best) is a hundred bucks the king arms ones are much cheaper as well from juggles and are amazing! |

Hmm $148, thats 2 King Arms reenforced v2 shells or with $100 dollars more you can get Prowin. Which includes a majority of the internals. Nice color though.

Not a bad price compared to other CnC attempts. IIRC the last propoposition was about 325$.

Not really... Any other ones are turd in comparison... I have a CA Reinforced one... and it/ and others are reinforced at the back more... Not the front where the weakest part of a V2 is. Quote:
Several reasons i consider this a prime part. 1 - Its CNC 7075 Aluminium, wont be prone to breakage at the front. 2 - Does'nt require any skill to fit this to any existing V2 gun if you know a Verson 2 Mechbox. 3 - No grinding out of Metal... Its 2 Parts unlike the Pro-Win.. Pro-win is many many parts just for the case, is not drop in compatable and its considerably more difficult to setup insid ehte gun perfectly. I know first hand.... 4 - The shop (i have not used) however... Free shipping means that price you see is what you pay. 5 - No other CNC V2 parts with all of those check points above in this price range. There was that "Haynes"? but wasnt that 2-3 times the price for nearly the same thing? So all in all i personally feel this fits in nicely between the Cast metal "reinforced gearboxes" and the Prowin. Pro-win does'nt really come with many internals. only a few that you will actually use. For example. The tappet plate will be used because its custom... Cylinder - unlikly because its non ported so M16+ guns only here. Thats about all the internals i would use.. Sure there are others like M80 and M130 spring, 2 hop rubers etc but the design of the Pro-win means that the end user will most likly have a very specific choice of parts. My favorite part about it is that it is "open" inside, thus allowing the use of modify gears.

I own one, it seems to be realy good. everything fits better than with a deepfire GB.
The only problem are the 8mm bearings. my sp170 would crash them rapidly. so you cant use it for highend tuned guns ... otherwise you dont need a cnc gb if you do not own a high tuned gun ^^. the price is good, but its seems to be useless with 8mm holes.

Didn't you know that larger balls means heavier possible load.
You can alway pop them out and change them to bushing type metal ones. Using a 6mm bearing would cause even MORE trouble. |

Especially in an 8mm hole.

The Pro-Win Gearbox's use 8mm..... They seem very strong to me in the one i have... I have no issue moving up to 8mm - 6mm always seemed to small for me, better for bushings. 7-8mm allows from the bearings to be less fragile.
I have an M15A4 SPC and from August last year till around january i put 80,000 bb's through it. I counted back on the reciets for box loads of ammo It took that many till a bearing went. The others looked ok too and teh CA yellow piston was uterly flawless, near new condition after that many rounds to say i was impressed is an understatement. |

on the pictures, we don't see the place where all the V2 break.
I can get a Hurricane v2 reinforced for cheaper.

Doesn't matter, it's CNC'd aluminum, it would be way stronger than pot metal or other casted metal.
