Accessories for Galaxy MP5K : help?
NOTE : could a Mod please move this to the accessories forum? Thanks!
Hello everyone, I am currently in the process of buying a Galaxy MP5K (it's Marui compatible). This would be my second AEG. I also own a TM AK47 which I would upgrade for outdoor conditions and use the MP5K for indoors CQBs. I would like to add a folding or (ideally) retractable stock and a silencer (mainly to possibly have a longer barrel that continues inside the silencer to enhance precision). Also need a mount for a red dot. Considering I am still relatively new to airsoft and pretty non-knowledgeable in weapons I have no idea what to look for (how do I know it fits or if my AEG will take it?) and where to look for these (I know redwolf airsoft, WGCshop, airsoftparts). Anybody has any hints, advices, leads for me? This is what I am buying : http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=59097 Thanks for the help! Last edited by Silverthorn; June 4th, 2008 at 10:30.. If you can find yourself a new ECHO1/JG MP5K PDW, it'll include a folding stock, a top mounted rail for RDS and a quick-detach flashhider with -14mm/CCW threading underneath to support a silencer. It'll cost a little more than that Galaxy, but it'll save you a lot of trouble.

We realize that, but what you're asking is exactly what an ECHO1 MP5K PDW package offers, minus the silencer. http://www.thewarstore.org/images/IMAG028_49.JPG
To purchase everything separately will be more expensive, but here's your list (based on WGC): - CCW/-14mm threaded adaptor for MP5K, usually found under "barrel attachment" (~$30, available, non-prohibited) - mount base for MP5, usually under "mount base" or "scope accessories" (~$20, available, non-prohibited) - PDW folding stock, usually found under "stock" (~$60, out of stock, non-prohibited) I recommend getting the silencer from airsoftparts.ca to save any potential customs headaches.

Thanks "The Saint", this should be a good start.
Buying a AEG with all the right stuff from the beginning might be cheaper but I do want to be able to use a pure simple MP5K at times as a backup weapon and sometimes as my main weapon. I just want to progressively accessorize it as a side project since I have a main AEg alreafy anyway. Thanks and if anybody else has any other ideas, please feel free! |

Annnnnnd that's what he's trying to tell you. The Echo1 MP5PDW comes with the K plate. So you can take off the PDW stock and attach the K plate to make it an Mp5K... |

A MP5K PDW is a MP5K... The ECHO1 package, as you can see, includes a separate butt plate for a stockless config. The top rail is removable. The large flash hider is quick detach, and then you just have to replace the threaded adaptor underneath for a threadless one to make a pure, "noseless" MP5K.
