STAR M4A1 RIS - Changing Inner Barrel Problem
Hi, I got some problem to dismantle the outer barrel and the inner barrel.
How am I supposed to do that ? There is a metal rod which is fixed on the upper receiver... I just don't know how to remove it... and how to pull the hop up unit out with the inner barrel. Can anybody help me on this ? I just don't want to break something I'm not supposed to pull or remove... lol Thanks. I have to remove the delta ring because the plug is blocking me the only way I have to pull the outer barrel with the innerbarrel out. Any hints ? Can't find any now on the internet. |

Finally got it, but I can say, don't ever do any upgrades in it. It's not like a standard M4. I used to have a TM M4 with metal body and !!! Argh ! That was so simple to put it in pieces... this one ? NAH ! WRONG !
My inner barrel, finally changed... By the way, the STAR Rubber hop up is very weak. When I pull the inner barrel, it tears apart... got a systema now... seems more strong that my stock one. Also, a M4 is a 363mm inner barrel... my STAR stock one, is like 370mm... weird huh... Anyway, in summary, the STAR M4 is for those people who don't want to put any upgrades in it. |

Quote:
The STAR's stock inner barrel is longer than other TM-derivatives because the STAR's flashhider has room for the inner barrel.

Did you put silicon oil on your bucking when you installed?
Did you remove the hop-up level when you removed the barrel? I scraped a bucking this way.

I read on different forums... and every guy who tried to change the inner barrel on a STAR m4, broke their rubber hop up. Seems to be very fragile.
