Magazine Brand Selection
I seem to have a dilemma on my hands. I have an HFC M190 and it's a great gun, I'm very happy with it. The problem is; the magazines for the gun seem to be about $20 more expensive than other brands such as KJW or TM. I was wondering, are magazines cross-compatible? Or do you have to buy the same brand as your gun? I'm relatively new to the sport so forgive me if this is a stupid question.

Sometimes, magazines will FIT but they won't neccessarily perform like they should. For example, KJWs are usually TM copies, so TM magazines sometimes fit in KJW guns. BUT because TM guns are designed to run duster and KJW are designed to run on propane, the TM magazines will sometimes cause the gun to cycle improperly.
I don't personally have any experience with HFC guns but if you ever decide to get a KJW instead, I can vouch for their quality. Anyways, its generally best to use KJW mags for KJW guns, TM mags for TM guns, HFC mags for HFC guns etc. Different story with AEGs though. Zi-Xiao
