First off I guess an introduction is appropriate.

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Brian AKA 55 Jr.

Husband of the lovely Judie, father of Tyler (who turns 18 in April....more about him later) father of Jessica.

I’m new here....but not new to internet forums.

I play guitar and own many thousands of dollars worth of Vintage guitars and amps.

I don’t just collect them....they all get played regularly.

I am an operations/Maint coordinator for a large oil/chemical company and that just about covers my whole resume.

The reason I joined this forum:

My son Tyler is turning 18 in April. Graduating HS, will be attending U of A next year.

He has asked for an airsoft for his birthday. He plays regularly at his cousin’s farm using a clear plastic Canadian Tire Special.

After a few net searches I found Ken’s site in Calgary:

JG G36C (100% TM Clone, comes with hicap mag and battery)

Along with:

ICS High Grade Adjustable laser and 20mm mount



I think to my self “what a great gift for Tyler!!”

So I send an email to Ken.

No answer.

Another email

Still no answer



I’m beginning to think it’s my breath!!


Garrrrrrrrrrrgle!


So I am stuck!

My Kids birthday is in April and I can’t buy him the present he wants.


Help?

Any suggestions??

Definitely the wrong section. Maybe Ken's on vacation!? He's gone away before for periods of time. Easiest thing to do is get age verified and buy one from our forums here in the for sale section. Use the search feature on the top bar and search "Age verification" and the thread on how to get age verified will pop up. I'm too tired to go find it =P

Im not 100% don't quote me on this but I think Ken is MIA for a bit. Has your son told you kind of AEG he'd like? Is the G36C his flavour? You might end up spending alot of money and Tyler will end up not liking as much as something he'd personally choose.

If you have the time, Get age verified! I'm sure you'll find your son a great deal/package that will come with mags/batteries/accessories, All that fun stuff! Hope I helped!

Hey all!

I've contacted both Edmonton area members for the age verification process. I hope that helps. If I can find something suitable in the classifieds that would be great.

I can't show Ty a pic of the G36C but I did view the gun in action on youtube.

I get the feeling he would be thrilled with it....but I'm sure he would be happy with any Quality gun of that type.

A laser sight would be a huge bonus!

You say he will be attending the U fo A? if your located in the edmonton area take a look at the EAR wedsite (link at the top of the page), if im not mistaken someone is selling a G36C i beleive on the forum also there are a number of other guns for sale. If your not already sign up there and introduce yourself there just like you did here and take a look at what EAR has to offer.

Hi Brian. Welcome to ASC.

In my experience, you have a better chance of not having a 5 year old molested after an unsupervised weekend with Michael Jackson than you have of getting in touch with Ken. He has many, many avid supporters on this forum what praise him and worship the ground he walks on, but if you go to the reviews section and look at the 007 reviews, you'll find that the majority of people never get a reply from him. I myself tried for about 3 months with everything from emails, phone calls, faxes, etc, and to no avail.

Once you get age-verified, you'll have not only access to come great deals in the forums here, but you'll also have access to www.shootsoft.ca. Their store has a policy that they only deal with age-verified members of this forum. You'll find a nice selection of guns for a very reasonable price compared to 007.

Hello again!

My thanks to all who have replied here and via PM!

Please excuse the late reply. Easter was a great time (we had a full house) I watched the Oilers battle it out with Colorado and even managed to have a band rehersal.

In short, been very very busy.

Ken did reply to my work email address. He's been hurt in a snowboarding accident, plus his current order is being held up in customs.

I have contacted two local members about setting up age verification. I will try and complete that this week.

April 13 is coming up fast and I would really like to have a gun for Tyler.

He was out with his friends again this weekend and his Canadian Tire clear jammed again.

Looks like I might not be able to fix it either.

hey man check out http://www.calcityairsoft.ca/ there down in calgary but its an awesome little store if you are ever in the area. They also ship but there guns are kinda hit and miss if your looking for a 36C. But they do have one right now JG G36C hope that helps you out bro.
