Night Vision Import question
I'm coming over to Canada on wednesday and i'm was going to bring my Gen1, it may be Gen1+, scope over. Its just occured to me that it might be a restricted item for import, could anybody clarify this for me please?
Thanks in advance. Andy "lonepig" aka Scottish Advanced Scout |

It's not restricted for import.
It's possible it could be restricted from being exported from the US however I believe with Gen 1 your ok.

You should be alright with Gen 1 as a friend of mine imported a set of NVGs from the states. At least I think they were from the states.
PM pizzainthemorning and he'll probably be able to tell you about it.

You can import all the NV equipment into Canada that you want, there's no restrictions to it. You can't export certain items outside of the US, however. You'd have to look up exactly what on the ITAR lists though.

Make sure you wear it through customs, "but I though Canada was the land of the midnight sun".
