Canada post tracking being ... really slow?

Has this happened to anyone else before?

I have a shipment from Scarecrow shipped this monday with Expedited post. And it says that it's been accepted at the post office on that day.(Standard delivery time is 7 days). So it's been 5 days now and it still says it's only been accepted at the post office.

A bug? or has anyone else experienced this before?

I've started to have a lot of problems with Canada post nowadays. They don't knock on the door and just leave the "Please pick ur stuff up" sheet on my door knob and just leave. Once before I've even seen one of them just leave the stuff right under the stairs, left it there, and didn't even bother to knock.

CP tracking has been fucked since the time of the dinosaurs

I find it to be a regular thing. Ive had packages arrive for a few days and the tracking still showed it was in transit.

Mississauga sortation... if it doesn't get stolen there, it gets broken. Thats why I insure everything... but hey its cheap and 99.7% of the time it arrives okay.

Skladfin, like everyone else has said, that's normal. It won't say anything else until it gets to your city. And it will be an "out for delivery" which isn't very useful because that means it's there and you're getting it that day,

About Canada Post, lately i have been having problems. Last month i went to the post office and complained about the 'bad service'. Well now i have a new post-'woman'. Very nice and quick. She even personally apologized when i had broker fee's to pay from my WGC order. Sure it wasn't her fault or anything but hey made me feel kind of nice. Polite, respectful, 'fast' and service with a smile. Now THATS service.

I see.. I'm so relieved to be not the only one.

But you would wonder why anyone would want to steal a box with random things.

I've found that when it's sent Xpress Post, they are pretty diligent with tracking it, often it shows up at my door and the tracking info says it's entered the sortation plant in Ottawa.

Been a couple times I've been given a tracking number, it'll stay at "accepted at <point of origin>" and I'll get it a week after it's been sent. Typically under those conditions it's been sent Expedited, which they don't track any where close to as efficient as Xpress.

hey i think we have the same mailman. he constantly leaves stuff out in the open porch for all to see if there is no one to answer the door. some times he just presses the door bell once, puts the parcel on the ground and leaves without waiting for me to open up.

dont worry about the tracking...ironically, CP tracking=no tracking. the next thing you know, it will be at your door and CP's tracking will still show "Item accepted at Mississauga"
