G36 Motor
I want to put a new motor in my g36, it is stock and i run a 9.6v battery. I want more fps and more rof. I don't want an insane motor just the next up from stock or the next after that. The spring don't need to be insane either just the next up. Thanks.

Motor wont give you FPS, You need a spring or more air-sealing parts for that.

Depends what motor you have in there already. If it's already a TM EG1000 your not going to get a slightly faster motor lol
Your better off kepping to a low fps (under 350) and using high speed gears. I've never setup a gun with high speed gears so im not sure if you'd need a large battery, but since your already running a 9.6v you should be okay. |

so I need a spring and gears then? how do i go about getting them? like brand names and numbers and stuff lol I know systema is good... but ya they got lots of different stuff and i dnt know the m120 or how ver the spring strength is gadged

PDI 120% or a prometheus MS100. The problem with high speed setups is that your decreasing the time you can fire before your mechbox shell breaks, your not hitting the shell harder, just faster. And if your piston isn't moving forward fast enough your gears might try to pull it back before your piston is all the way forward, this will strip the piston.
It's a balance of spring power and RoF. The G&P M120 is a nice motor, goes pretty quick, but it's not made for a 350+ fps gun without torque up gears. It's using more power to drive the gears than an M140 motor. I'm still not an expert in the field, but I can tell you what my friend did to his LMG36. The G&P folding stock with the 9.6v large battery, systema standard gears, systema red piston, systema 6mm bushings, systema 'silent' head set, bearing spring guide and a prometheus MS100 spring. That gave him a much high RoF than any other gun currently in manitoba due to the battery. |

I think Prometheus MS100SP is the way to go. Every company's spring rates a little differently, so without testing Madbull springs, it could be more or less than other company's M120s. Better go with the brand people knows and trusts. Also, M120 is way too much for what you're trying to do.

If its a TM motor, keep it, if it's a CA then buy a TM EG700 or a G&P M140. Systema magnum if you have the cash.

Did you know that CA also makes a G36 and that you didn't specific which brand you had?
Systema magnum motors are quality torque up motors, equak to the G&P M160 if not better. |

so a Systema Magnum motor... and a Prometheus MS100SP spring... those wont make it like super nuts will it?

I just recently sold a G36 with a 120S spring, systema helical torque up gears and a magnum torque up motor with a 9.6v. Even though you're not upgrading the gears and it'll still get consistent FPS and a much better ROF, but nothing too nuts. Nothing but good things about the magnum torque-up though, the magnet is so strong I've used it to pick up springs that have fallen onto the carpet.... That's just a bonus feature though.
You can also get a 1400 9.6v if you don't feel like converting to a large battery, it fits as well as a standard 7-cell mini
