What magazine fits what

Im looking at buying some gear from ehobby but I have to be able to fit MP5 mags in it. I dont want a dropleg magpouch either. All the vests either have .223, .556 or .762 magazine capacities. Just wondering how these compare up with an MP5 mag.
Thanks in advance

1 AR mag capacity = a minimum of 2 MP5 mags, maybe 2.5?

AR is .223, yes.

I have a fairly typical triple AR pouch that look to hold about 6 MP5 mags, give or take 1. I never had that many MP5 mags at once to actually test it, but it looked about right for that many.

Edit: Ok, I might have made a mistake. It might not have been 6, it might have been as many as 9. Anyways, holds a lot.

.223 = 5.56mm, 7.62mm = .308.

Notice the placement of the decimal.

.556 and .762 are incorrect.

5.56mm and 7.62mm

.223 and 5.56mm are the same thing. Just a different type of measurement.

Although a .762 caliber round would be impressive... lol

Hey Saint,
Looks like you have a g36, so how many of those bulky mags can you put in one triple m4 pouch without ripping it open.

I don't remember, I switched to AR mags fairly early on. But a G36 mag with the studs intact is at least 1.5 AR if not more.
