KSC USP Compact TW Slide Modification?
I'm interested in ordering the metal slide for my incoming KSC USP Compact.
I've read on RedWolf airsoft that I would need to make a slight modification to the magazine to install the slide? My questions are simple, Can I install the slide myself or would I have to bring it to a shop? Also, what is the slight modification? I've browsed around and I think it has something to with filing a section of the magazine. Does the slide come with instructions about this? |

Have you already ordered the usp compact? if not, i would recomend against it. big defect, pot metal trigger. It breaks, no replacement.
I didnt have to mod my mag in order to use my TW slide, never seen anything about that before. -good luck alex |

i received the USP in the mail, it was already ordered when i had posted, unfortunately
anyway, did your TW slide come with white markings? or was it just the standard black metal slide |

TW metal slides come with white markings (bare aluminum). installation of the slide is simple, look at the exploded gun diagram in your manual and remove accordingly. it shouldn't take longer than 1 hour even for the most inexperienced. all you need is a screwdriver for most metal slide installs.
BTW: welcome to asc and please get age verified when you have time. |

Hmmm...strange...I've got a KSC USP Compact and put on a metal slide with no mods. No major problems with it so far (except no safety doesn't work anymore but that doesn't bother me).

it was the G&G slide, IIRC that had the issue with it not fitting properly. What had happened was they included the extractor as a second piece, which brushed up against the mag feed lips.

I had to replace the trigger twice now. Both times I just used the USP full-size, luckily I didn't have to mod anything on it. I'm probably going to get the actual USP Compact trigger (real steel) which requires some modding at some point, just need to put together the cash for it, and find out exactly what needs to be done for it to fit. I still worry about my current trigger snapping and leaving me without my favorite pistol. I don't know if you've fitted the slide yet or not, but you'll need to get some Alan keys. Not entirely sure which size it uses (2mm, I think). Make sure they're metric, otherwise you'll strip the screw. No screw driver required, and you'll need to fiddle with it a little to make it fit in. Just be careful, and don't use too much force, but don't be afraid to apply some to wrench the thing out.
