How much money do you have? People will forgive you if you are not completely authentic during a skirmish. Hint: just make sure it is all the same colour or scheme!

k, well if you can get verified, there are some cheap vests and what not floating around on ASC plus, im pretty sure you can find some gear in that range. Only thing that might sting is the price of AEG, but unfortunately such is life

get kit that works... play some, figure out what it is you need/want, and then build up from there. look at how you want to store you kit on yourself (mags, other crap you might want to lug around the field) and just start building, piece by piece.

Go to a game, look at the different gear is being used, maybe even get to try it on from those using (ask questions about them), go to a store, try on said gear (if you have not already), test it out during multiple games and then figure out if it fits your style of play (if it does not work, you can always sell it on ASC). Remember, kit that looks good, does not always work well.

Most websites that sell gear have pictures of the gear.
You can't expect us to tell you what gear works best for you. |

my reccommendation is look at some pics on militaryphotos.net see what you like, get age verified and buy it in the classifieds on here. if someone with a high trader rateing is selling it on here, you can bet itseither good gear, popular gear, useful gear, going to be something that wont look outta place on the field. thats the best way to wing it. like i said tho, note their trader rateing score, otherwise you might wind up with oddball gear thats going to be hard to work with, add onto ect.

Buy something, try it out, if it works...yay, if not...sell it and do it again.

The worst thing you can do is go out and buy gear you don't understand. Ergo, you need to understand what you need, and then find something that meets your needs and matches what you want.
Many people go out looking for gear on a budget, and buy the wrong equipment because it's all they can afford. Fight the temptation to buy what you can afford; save your money and buy the right stuff. I have owned dozens of rigs. Most got one or two uses before I offloaded them because they just didn't work for me. What works for one person may not work for you, so you can't take anyone's opinion as sage advice. You will need to determine what kind of gear system meets your particular needs, i.e. body type, size, capacity and comfort. You'll need to decide if you want an all-in-one solution or a tailored three-line system. You'll need to determine if you need a tactical vest, a chest harness, a webbing system, or a load bearing vest. Good luck! |
