CA M15A4 with Yankee Hill Specter FF RAS
I just got this done yesterday after receiving my Star flip up front sight.
The front end is a real steel Yankee Hill Specter free float RAS. I just need a higher AP mount. The one I have it's too low. I will be upgrading the Internals soon. Last edited by Xepharo; June 23rd, 2007 at 19:41.. |

Not yet, but I will be soon.
-Guarder Ball Bearing spring guide. -PDI 150% spring -Maybe a Systema Cylinder/head and Guarder Piston (Blue one) I don't like CA's cylinder/head and the yellow piston itself. |

shouldn't the front site fold towards the gun?

How hard was it to install the RAS?

The STAR one folds forward, much like a SCAR or HK416 sight.
I tried placing it the other way, but it was designed to be on the front of the RAS or one of those chamber blocks that have RIS rather than the triangle sight. The RAS was very easy to install. I had a 3 point loop hole wrench to tighten the barrel nut first, then I put the RAS on, and then tighten it with that ring you see between the upper body and the RAS. There are two screws that you install on the back end side of the RAS to prevent rotation... very sturdy, I recommend it. I got it for $106 USD shipped off Ebay, MSRP is around $250 USD. 1 observation: I believe that CA's rails on the metal body are too high. My ICS FF RIS and this YKH FF RAS both have a lower rail. Hey attack-beaver, I believe you are right.
The sight is supposed to go the other way. This one is for the SR25, the supplier sent me the wrong one... but I might keep it the way it is, I think it looks great and I can still aim the same either way. |
