How should an "Operator" look?

Hi Guys,

I need to tap your expertise. What should an Operator look like? If you know of any pics or detailed description, please let me know. I have seen the Ecco contractor thread here on ASC but there must be more than that look. I have a Contractor game next Saturday and would like to at least come close to resembling one.

Thanks is advance for the help.
Cheers.

6'0" to 6'6", 200 to 250 pounds of trained muscle.

Once you've got that part down, it pretty much doesn't matter what you wear, whether you have facial hair, how long your hair is or what weapons platform you carry... you'll look like you're ready to tear ish up.

Try to stay away from current national camos like ACU and stuff like that. Some people get away with like Rhodesian or woodland, but alot of the current PMCs are using solids like Tan, CB, OD or black. Look up Blackwater, Global Risk, and other companies for a better idea. Our team has been playing as PMCs for a while, but we choose to use Multicam, not alot of real world operators, if any use it, but we like to. Heres some pics before the switch over.

Im in the CB ciras, Tan pants, Tan hat, CB ciras, seems to work. Don Korleone in the back, wasn't playing as one, but somewhat pulls it off.

Me and Kurgan, hes got the fucking cool special forces beard going on. Also has a black RAV on. Multicam pants.

Kit can be rather varied. Ive seen plate carriers from CIRAS, RAV and MOD II to just rigs like Blackhawk Systems, Eagle Universal Rigs, and just plain crossdraw vests. Its almost as easy as wearing civilian clothing with a Rig, maybe a drop leg, black sport lenses, and a AR or mp5. Get bald, if not wear a ballcap. Tattoos are common too.

Im not trying to say this is the LAW of being a poser contractor, but weve spent alot of time researching, and im just trying to put this as plain as possible. There are always exceptions to the rule. And i strongly suggest watching "Shadow Company", a documentary on Private security in Iraq. Theres a nice scene where he describes all the different nationalities of PMCs.

Keep in mind that those are more contractor style...Delta is a little more operator, and then it depends on the op at hand.

Hands down, best contractor look.

I'm not sure if this is correct, but I heard that PMCs aren't "allowed" to wear active military camouflage patterns.. because of issues of identifying active force over civilian contractor.

Peng, that's absolutely right with regards to contractors in Iraq. That's why I always laugh at how 1337 people think they are with their super accurate PSD/PMC/BBQ/Contractor impressions while wearing woodland or MARPAT.

Wow, thanks for all the help so far guys. I guess it isn't as involved as I thought it was. I like the humor as well - good job. I can say for sure that I'm not 6' 6", 250 lbs but I can adopt that attitude pretty well. Cool pics Amazing KG3. Hey rc_p120, what does 1337 mean?

Keep it coming....
