Civilian Aug Reciever Custom

Well Since i originally had the Civilian version of the aug, I got the opportunity to get a hold of a Military version reciever. So with little use for the railed version reciever, I decided to play around with this mp5 ris and try to make it fit on the aug. I like the outcome of it, and im sure it will look better with a sight and some other little accessories. Ill also be changing the barrel too. By the way, this is all removable to let me quickly switch between recievers.

Tell me what you think! good or bad, i dont care.

(there are no rails on the ris when i took these pics, i forgot)

It's... unique...

Haha, I actually think it's pretty frakkin' awesome... It seems like it would be ideal for a para-ized version of the A3, rails on all sides, but shorter than the standard carbine length. I may have to copy it exactly on my AUG

wow I was thinking about a mod for a mp5/armalite ris for AUGs just yesterday
and here you did it already! wow that looks awesome
did you have to make any modifications to the ris?

yeah, the gas regulator tube (i think thats what its called) was portruding out the side and hindering the ris from sliding all the way back so i cut into the ris to compensat for that. And due to the aug being somewhat diamond shaped, the ris would not go all the way back again. If you cut a bit off each side without making it look like an aftermarket cut it works quite well. I suggest using a dremel to make it that much easier. If you have anymore questions or comments, shoot.

How secure is it? Is there any movement?

Im not sure, an im not about to find out. Really i dont think there will be much concern. It is secured to the metal body in 2 places and latches around the barrel. Im sure i swift stomp to it would do something, but i dont think that will ever happen. And i have never dropped my guns ever so, i dont have much concern for that either.
