I use it in my m4 and my sr-25, great for higly upgraded rifle, cant really comment cause you didnt specifie the mAh. The only issue, they're big battery packs.

I had to make one for my ICS M4 cuz the stupid thing is picky as hell and will not work with a small pack. Im running 10.8V NiCd in the foregrip, 1200mah ratio and it works just fine for a semi upgraded gun. Nice ROF and good kick to it.

Was looking at this one. Seems not much larger than a regular 9.6V nunchuck (5.25 inches long).

My mechbox is done to the tits, and I just went to a PDI150 in a tightbore so I need the extra push to get my ROF back up.

Runs 2200Mah Linky

I am using a 10.8v NiMH on my G36k. Lasts me all day long, great semi-response and rate of fire. Only prob is the size of the battery, has to be re-wired to the back of the gun (on a G36, even with the large RAS).

Conclusion, if you got a cleanly upgraded gun, go for it. If you are unsure about your shimming, bushings, and grease, get a gun doctor to give you an OK. Also, make sure your chargers support 10.8v or you might have a very long charge time ahead of you.
