KSC Glock upgrading..........

Nope, not a question, just a couple pointers.

Inner barrel wobble: Yup, found it last week on both my KSC Glock 19s. Check yours, stick a pencil in a unloaded gun (DUH!!!) in the firing postion and see how much the inner barrel moves around in the outer barrel. Yup, told ya so! I put a larger O-Ring in place of the stock O-ring on the inner barrel, wobble 100% gone. Tape would do about the same. Groups at 30ft went from about 6-7" to about 5".

Tightbore: Ya, had mine measured, came up to 6.09mm. Installed a 6.04mm and my groups went down to about 4" at 30ft. Good stuff.

And of course, the legend of Stalker's GBB ballistics: 0.30g works best in my Glocks, I get man sized target ranges past 100ft, I'd say maybe even comparable to stock AEG range and accuracy. Try it and see. Am sure 0.28g would work well also. I got fed up during a team pistol training day shooting at a teammate 50ft away using 0.25g BBs and seeing my BBs veer off everywhere befor ehtey got to him. Decided to try 0.36g (at the time) and huge improvement. Ran out of 0.36g, went with 0.30g, best of the bunch. Was able to hit an oil drum about 120ft away about 75% of the time, and a 10" pie tin 100ft away once out of about 6 shots. Keep in mind, this was all before I fixed the inner barrel wobble and added a tightbore.

Hope that plants a few seed in the minds of players on here.

Screw it. If ever I play against you, I'll bring a real Mauser rifle, or dust-off the .44

KSC STI 5.5 Tightbore Barrel in my Glock gives dollar sized groupings benched at 25 feet. More often than not, I can hit the same spot twice; this is with a scope of course, and patience.

I'd try for longer distances, but the basement only goes so far, and I haven't fielded my Glock yet.

6.5x55mm Swedish. Ugly, but superb bore. Zeroes at 300 yards.

Back on topic; that is amazing accuracy for a GBB. I did not know they could work so well with ammo heavyer than .25
That's quite interesting to read. The primary reason I find this fun is because my skillset is with real handguns.

Glocks feel nice without being overly high above the hand (like Berettas and 1911s are). I just outlined my Glock experiences in a way that hasn't been mentioned yet (inner barrel wobble that is, most people have already seen that I use heavier BBs.............. helps to be an airsoft sniper, get to try out lots of different types of ammo in all your guns).

Just keep in mind the TM Hi Capa and P226 are very nicely shooting GBBs as well, not trying to single out that Glock is the best. G19 is the best for me though.

ya.
i like 1911s, but there are no economical ones on the market that i can see, other than the highcappa, and i dont like the way the mags sticks so far out the bottom of the gun. i find it ruins the ballance.
and i want a full size one, so the 4.3 isnt reall an option.
i was trying to decide between glock and p226, but seeing as glocks are cheaper, and i like them, and this is just to tide me over till TM releases (or WE) a 1911A1.
im installing a tight bore in my TM desert eagle today, im going to see how much that increases acuracy.
oh, and bbl is a abreviation for barrel. i dont know why or how, but i picked it up from a firearms website.
just out of curiosity, do any of you guys target shoot with your GBBs? other than just testing or casual pliking, do you do any serious target shooting?
Joe

Who do you get your tightbores from?

The one I have in my upgraded G19 and the longer G17-18 barrel I ordered for my stock G19 w/threaded barrel are Head 1950 6.04mm barrels, I got them from UN Company. About $22US. I though I saw a thread of Glock upgrade parts on here that had a G19 tightbore for sale?

Anyways, the tightbore didn't do a heck of a lot for the accuracy I gained, more the fixing the severe inner barrel wobble. I'd say that if I gained 100% increase in accuracy and consistancy, 75% of it was putting a larger O-ring on the inner barrel, 25% tightbore. Mind you, previous to that was when I was doing testing with heavier BBs, 9" pie tin at 100ft (hit about 3-4x out of 10 shots) and 55 gallon oil drums at 120-130ft (8 out of 10 shots.) Am sure both of those have improved since I added the tightbore and fixed the wobble.

Hell ya. Added tip, Glock's love clean barrels. Oh, did I mention the stocck inner barrel of the KSC Glocks (most likely all other KSC GBBs) is 6.09mm?
