Stick Battery question
Having a problem of the stick battery that came with my MkII Sten. I have charged it and then didn't connect it to the gun battery leads. Then after a few days connected the battery and it's dead. Is there a problem with the battery??? The stick battery that came with my Stg44 is fine. I charge it and it holds it's charge. The Sten battery is a green color and the Stg44 is black, but both have the same markings and both are NMHD batteries. Any suggestions? I'm thinking just replace the Sten's battery and toss the battery that came with the gun

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?

Crappy battery, or your charger isn't doing it.
Here's a suggestion we tell to everyone; go to www.hobbyking.com and purchase Turnigy-nanotech lipo batteries, they are like $8.99US. Typically the 1200 mah will fit in any gun and buy a 7.4v, unless your gun runs a MOSFET, then 11.1v batteries are fine. Don't worry about the C rating (15-20c), etc. make sure to order from the US warehouse option, as the other is in Asia and can/will take considerably longer. Also pick up an IMAX B6 balance charger from them as well for a $30-$40, which is better than the $60-$80 you'll pay here. Totally best bang for you buck, no question.

+1 I tell this to so many people, and so many people don't listen.
Buy from HobbyKing, because even with the costly shipping it will be cheaper than everywhere else. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk |

I would prefer using a NMHD battery to save buying another new battery charger. I bought the Tenergy battery charger when I bought the Sten gun. The battery that came with my Stg44 is great and zero problems with it. I tried working with Lipo batteries when I was into rc foam planes and could never figure out how to recharge them with a good battery charger. I just can't my head around Lipo's

Then determine if it's a battery or charger issue and replace as necessary. Have you tested your other battery on this gun, it could be the gun.

If the battery didn't charge, either the charger didn't charge it, or you've ruined the cells by draining it too low.
And the term is NiMH, not NMHD, "hydride" is one word. |

I have charged both sticks with the same Tenergy battery charger. The battery in the sten wasn't plugged in, in the Sten but still went dead in a few days after charging, yet the black stick battery in the Stg44 was plugged in and sat for the same amount of time as the Sten battery but retained it's charge

So the "battery" is a tube filled with tiny demons. Now you have done something to anger those demon and now when you summon them they no longer will push the BBs out of your barrel.
Maybe you prayed to the wrong god, or wore the wrong robe while conjuring or some other blasphemy. We'll never know. The important thing now is the purification ritual You must strip you self naked and fill your body with devil juice to begin to flush out the sins. Or you could just get that dead boring $12 lipo that'll run your gun without questions and not need a black mass weekly to hold a charge.

They can be imported. Any hobby shop should carry Nihm or NiCd batteries, but I find they charge quite a bit more. There's also specialty battery shops, out here we have Vancouver Battery, I'm not sure though what's out your way.
For savings, hobby king may still be a winner

The NiMH I had that came with some guns lose charge fairly quick..One of them lost almost all of it's juice in one week. Of course I usually charge them up to be my backups if my lipos ever dies on the field. (I used NiMH once in a new gun that I don't have a lipo for and it died half way through a game, never had that with lipos)
If that battery doesn't even hold a charge then yea, you need a new battery. Hobby battery in Vancouver is such a ripoff... and to join in with the train, hobbyking is Guuuuddd IMAX + Lipos

I moved away from NiMH for that exact same reason, you can never be sure if the batteries sit for a while where the charge will be at. Even cycling them had little impact, with lipos you know more or less where they stand and a simple storage charge goes a long way to ensuring proper function.
