OD-M3 Super 90
I havent seen much painted shotguns and I just finished doing mine. Did 3 coats of paint and a finish. Painted the sights white and did the crayon trick for the letterings today.
Sorry about the photos not looking that great as I was lazy with bringing more lights into the room. Injoy |

I'm just curious why you chose to paint the stock but not the pistol grip?
Other than that, interesting. |

The Crayon trick I just read about it this moarning here http://www.airsoftcanada.com/newrepl...reply&p=200660 Quote:
The stock is a hard plastic(cept the end pice) and the pistol grip is a rubber I was thinking the paint would eat away at it or it'd just wear off on my hand when playing. |

Looks nice... But you're right, the rubber probably would have flexed and the paint come off.

I've been thinking of painting mine too. I hadn't thought of removing the pistol grip to do the stock, that's a good idea. I'm planning to do the outer barrel too if I do paint it, and maybe the reciever.
I have to take it down anyways to put in a new cylinder next month, so that'll make it easier. Nice job in any case. That looks more like tan than OD to me though... maybe it's just the lighting.

Does that grip come off? If not, how did you mask off that curve above the grip... tape?
Looks really slick, I dig the design the OD makes on the stock sans the grip. Also for the trademarks, white pastel works better. The softer pastel material works into the trades much easier than the harder crayon. It also covers more evenly. Only drawback is it will take a little bit more cleaning to get the excess off. When its done it will never come out (by normal wear anyways).

Penguin,
Yea the grip is held on by one bolt/screw what ever it is, and the stock + pump grip come apart vary easly. http://tech.airsoftcanada.com/TM/TM%...al3%5b1%5d.jpg I really wish there was a way to rig up tm shotguns to shoot another 100fps:hammer: |

Woah!@ never seen that befor, I'm not sure if the m3 has the same internals as the spas but I'm sure it would. Can anyone conferm this??? I'd probly only get the 120 but can someone conferm the M3 internals are the same as the SPAS. Thanks. |

Not sure about the internals bit, but I think the nozzle's really quite different (The Spas 12 one is a hell of a lot stronger).

If by the nozzle you mean the cylinder, then they're the same. From what research I've done, (and I've done a reasonable amount trying to fix my M3) the internals for the 2 are the same, though I can't guarantee that because I haven't compared the two directly. The barrel length is the same, though, so at the very least, the tightbore would work.
Dentrinity is better for finding parts for them, even if they're harder to get, so at least you'll know from a search there what'll work for both. If you look at the tech sheets for both, the parts that are different for the M3 seem to be numbered "M3-" and the others are the same. http://www.airsoftplayers.com/m3/m35.jpg http://www.airsoftplayers.com/spas12/SPAS_5.jpg Looking at that now, the cylinder could be different, which is odd because Dentrinity sells one that's supposed to be for both. :S
