Anyone recognize this fet?

I got this in an old gun... I don't recognize the fet. It doesn't seem to like 3S lipos very much, it'll beep at me after a quick burst in auto and shut off.

In my semi-informed opinion, I would guess that it's an ASCU ver.1 with it's heat-shrink wrapping missing.

The looking of the unit, the small ribbon cable, and the white jump wire on the circuit board really look like an ASCU. Would you mind show the other side of the unit as well?

That sounds like what an ASCU will do when it detects a large current, in case of a short, or a stuck motor, or just when the normal current draw is larger than the ASCU would expect, and the ASCU thinks there is a short or a stuck motor (but actually not).
Then the ASCU will beep twice, shut off till the battery get unpluged and pluged again.

I think this is a ASCU.
I am not familar with the versions and generations of ASCU, but this looks like the one I got. With this version, the ribbon cable is attached to the sensor unit circuit board directly, rather than using a white connector. It is also attached to the control unit via a large black connector, rather than a small white connector. There is also a white jump wire on the circuit board (under the heat shrink wrap).

Different from this one but both used in Version 2 gearbox.

Update: I found it, the one using large black connector/no connector is just ASCU 1 for Version 2, and the one using small white connector (on both side of the ribbon cable) is ASCU II for Version 2.

The way they name them is confusing, one is called either "ASCU" or "ASCU 1", the other called either "ASCU II" or "ASCU for gearbox Version 2", but they are both for version 2 gearbox. Just to make it more confusing, there is also something else called "ASCU 2" ...
