Quick change gearbox in a King Arms M4A1?
My apologies if this has come up in another thread but I couldn't find anything like it in the forum or through a Google search.
I purchased a modified King Arms M4A1 last month and have been curious about adding a Quick Change version 2 gearbox to it. From the videos I have seen opening and getting to the main spring looks like a little too much for me. I've seen on certain models like the Ares M4-E that you can get to the main spring by removing the buffer tube. I tried earlier this evening to remove my Magpul CTR stock but I couldn't, I was trying to see if with removing the buffer tube on the rifle if it has the same access to the gearbox that would allow a Quick Change gearbox to work in it. Would appreciate input on this. I hope it is possible as I'd like to use the rifle indoors and outdoors at the listed FPS easily. Thanks gents. Sent from my SGH-I317M using Tapatalk |

First thing first, try to learn how your particular AEG works; there's tons of videos/tutorial on YouTube about how to completely dis/reassume that particular model
Each brands/models have a few different things that are best to know before starting to play in it, so gather a max of info first Then, you can worry about these features; going the opposite way might Crete more problems than it's worth As you now know, the KA doesn't have a quick change spring indeed; However, this is the kind of thing you should change once and be done with it; if you want to play both in and outside, you can perfectly play with a 340fps rifle outdoor, as long as you have a properly tuned gun and a good hopup Quick change is nice but not mendatory at all for this Also, not too sure about reddit as a source if info on airsoft, but it seems you got the right answer at least this time This forum is probably one of the best mine of info once you know your way around |

Actually there is one King Arms M4A1 full metal disassemble tutorial on YouTube and it's not shot well and not a complete take down, just how to separate the receivers.
I'm not taking apart my rifle any time soon so yes, I am a bit of a research nut. And I was just curious, it's supposedly chrono'd to 320 FPS w/ .2's but I have not verified that yet. |

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

the KA is the same take down as VFC, G&P, CA, and a handful of others
