Mixing Hop ups and Gear boxes ( right forum)

Hi everbody, I need a little advice. I am starting to make a Johnson LMG, and am trying to figure out which guts to use. the barrel mount from an AR would work well ( hop moded to feed from an angle) because the mount to the upper would be easy to machine. My question is; will other Gearbox versions air nozzles work with a V2 hop up. I don't wanna use a v2 because of the lack of a motor cage. I would like to use a V3 , or P90 v6, but don't know about how good the air seal will be.

thanks,
RG

As long as the nozzle seals with the hopup bucking and retracts enough to feed a bb, no reason you can't mix & match gb & hopup unit. G&P m249 I believe uses an aug chamber with its v2 gb.

You can use whatever nozzle you want, as long as it's spaced correctly.
