VFC are great guns, I myself have the VFC HK416 and my brother has the VFC Scar L and they are high performance and durable.

I have a vfc scar h. Vfc "polycarb" is garbage and the wires are quite brittle. Other than that its good.

Amazing AEG out of the box, I've owned one for a year and was never let down. Except it seems to be a common issue to have it lock up, but the fixes are simple enough.

VFC has a very good reputation, though most of the pros for the scar-h are aesthetic ones. It is regarded as the best looking scar-h out there, with good trades and a great finish.
HOWEVER Scar H midcap magazines are expensive. In canada, if you can find them, they'll run you 100 plus shipping for a pack of 3. The cheapest I've seen them is 70 plus shipping. You can use other types of magazines, such as the magpul 20LR, and certain SR25 magazines, but this requires either doctoring of the gun, the magazine, or both. Not fun, not always reliable. Your other, more cost-effective option is the D-boys scar h, the VFC clone. The same issue with the magazines still stands, and it lacks the name-brand appeal and external mastery of the VFC, but it costs half as much, and works just fine. WCGshop also sells vfc scar externals, such as the stock, so you can still replace any parts of the clone with the vfc bits, and still come out ahead. here is the review that helped me make the decision to buy the dboys. http://airsoft-lab.proboards.com/thread/94 |

The point was to lend credit to the Dboy option, as opposed to discrediting vfc. The review's from 2011, and everything that the guy said about the Dboy gun is true, except that my rifle's stock actually stays folded. What changes have been made in the last two years as far as the VFC scar's internals go?

Well metal bushings for one, and a metal bearing spring guide for the other. That review says it comes with plastic bushings does it not?

I have the VFC Scar H Deluxe Version i.e. full trade,VFC silencer, manufacturer's hard gun case. Very good performance right of the box, shoots hard and far.
I also bought extra VFC high cap magazines from Mach1 Airsoft. No complains so far. Last edited by Swattiger; September 26th, 2013 at 23:38.. |
