bad spring change
Well i tried the so easy to yourself spring change on my jg mp5 and in the process the gear box cracked, it was a bitch to keep the spring from popping everything out. i got it to fit properly closed it all up and when i fired it it blew the fuse. what could be my issues now? what would it cost at a high end to fix.... i never shot more than 50 bbs bcuz i never got to play due to the 350fps limit at the place near me. yes indeed i pulled a swift noob move and now im very sad. i just wanted to start playing so bad, is this worth fixing or getting a new gun?

Oh we do hate you, just never felt like wasting the time to give you a user title :P

You most likely blew the fuse because it was too tight inside (ie not shimmed corectly) did you not watch videos and read how tos like suggested to you in your previous thread?
You say you cracked the gearbox? So youll need either a new shell (40-80 bucks depending on what you buy) Lonex shells are nice round the 60 doller range Then maybe 40-60 bucks for a gundoc to rebuild for you. Or you can just buy a complete drop in box for 80-120 bucks. Not sure if youll find one for 350 fps tho ill take a look for you

Here is the cheapest solution if your mp5 is front wired
http://www.torontoairsoft.com/CYMA-C...tor_p_355.html It is a cyma box so may not last too long This is your better option then put your parts in it http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=2496

Hectic, that CYMA box could last forever. That's not an indication that the box is "crap".

I agree thats why i said MAY not last long itll all depend who did the assembly. Could be shimmed to perfecfion could be loose as a 5 doller hooker or tight like a nun you just never know and the OP obviously shouldnt open and check it lol.
My first JG (notorious for crappy qc back in the day) lasted 4 years then cracked in the cold. I just got an echo1 (qc done in the US) when i opened it to investigate a failer it had one shim ONE in the whole gearbox lol and had failed after only a few bags of bbs

Why I recommended you went to Ultimate Airsoft, you could of had a game night too. The spring just requires certain tricks to keep from popping out and different boxes will be different. I found Ares gearbox was a biatch to put spring back while VFC and Dboys was fairly easy.

Well...it was the reversal latch that was the biggest pain

I watched the videos and i even didnt notice the crack happen just noticed it was there. the reversal latch and the spting popping caused me hell. i guess i might as well keep messing with this broke one so i know how to handle a gear box better. i just like doing it myself sadly shit happens. thanks for all the help guys very appreciated.

Every gearbox I worked with have a different part that likes to pop out...
Sometimes the trigger, sometimes the anti-reversal latch, the main spring, the tappet plate, or the wires...
