M203 to M79 (Updated Pics)
M79 in progress Modding Apocolypse's M203 from his M733 trickier then i thought due to the M16 style instead of the M4(rail) style. more to do, this is day 1 progress. Inside was hard to do, had to create a hallow section so I could avoide cutting the sides of the launcher off. Not exactly a M79, but close enough. He just wanted a good way to put a M203 in a scabard on his back that wouldnt catch or get caught on anything in the event of a quick draw. |

Actually I have a question I have been wondering for a few weeks now
I dont have an armalite , I have an AK-47 and I dont want to spend 450 + for a GP launcher for my gun, so I was thinking of buying an m203 and using it handheld? or possibly even turning it into an m79 as the one you are making but with my skills t'would not be 1337

While making a hand held grenade launcher out of a m203 is a great idea, its going to be impossible to make a m79 out of it. The m79 has wood underneath the barrel, not above it, and is break-barrel, not pump action.
http://world.guns.ru/grenade/gl06-e.htm now if someone would make something like this! http://www.autoweapons.com/photosv/ddsagl.html Looking good so far though. Cheers, Alex Good luck on the project, looking good so far. |

no need to be specific I think he just wants the basic look and that second pic looks like a TM launcher... and I believe someone on here did make something like that by modding an SP M203 awhile back... dont remember who though, if I remember I will let you know...

Vondnik made a home-made "Tactical Launcher" 203 a couple of years back. IT was pretty slick, all things concsidered.
Nice job Droc, May not be an M79, as everyone is pointing out, but it's damn cool and a nicely done job. I can't wait to see the finished pics...

As far as original airsoft ideas go, this ones pretty inspired, I think!
