Who bought the WE M4 AEG?

So who bought the WE M4 AEG that was on sale in Toronto over the last short while? It's now listed as sold out so there must be someone on the forum who has one. I'd love to see pictures and commentary on a takedown.

The Redwolf takedown didn't look too shabby.

Unfortunately you are wrong, Toronto Airsoft has had the WE AEG for a few weeks now.

I saw one being purchased last week at Torontoairsoft. After fiddling with it for a while, it seems pretty solid for the price of $250, or something close to that. If reviews turn out well, then this might be an alternative to the King Arms M4 for a first gun or base for a project gun.

Someone here promised a review. It's coming. I suspect the gun is decent but if you're a vet there's nothing compelling as far as another m4 addition goes. If the internals aren't shit it could become the new noobie goto gun I guess. I could see KA internals still beating this one but I reserve judgement until we have some quantitative feedback.

Edit: beaten to it above

Think this should be in the AV section if we're going to name retailers.

Apparently the same retailer also brought in the VFC MP5SD3/6. Sold out though. I would have loved to drop by their store and just get a feel for it.

Those MP5s are the best airsoft guns I've ever come across!

I had the pleasure of firing it in the store. I'm not sure it's possible to NOT grin when firing it . Also, very very hefty.

Bingo, I had the same thought -- project gun base. After spending a lot of time with the KA M4 I've come to the conclusion that the parts and quality are excellent... however I don't like the bolt release and the ultra-tight receiver tolerance as well as the finish on the external body. The WE might be good for project guns.

Yeah someone needs to beat the shit out of the WE internals and see how they hold up. I'm in full agreement that the KA is the cat's ass, except for the grey\green tint on the receiver, and the "OMFG if I ever have to take it apart again I'm gonna smash it" tightness. I think the tightness is getting worse too cuz HKGhost said he'd never seen a KA this tight before. But hey...no wobbles

Hey, someone else who doesn't like the bolt lock back feature on the King Arms. I think its gimmicky and just ads an extra step to the assembly/disassembly process. Personally, I like the tolerance of the receiver. After owning 4 of these I found a good method of getting it back together smoothly. Maybe I should sell one of my King Arms and buy a WE just to get a closer look. Does anyone know how they got the safety to release the spring tension? It seems like the same thing as in the ics mp5.

That color of the receiver is actually alot more true to the RS.
Also wanting to know about this gun. WE has fucked up a lot of things so I want to see if they followed suit on their AEG.

I can't agree with you on that point. I've seen RS ARs have a greyish satin finish like VFCs, matte black like G&Ps, shitty looking black paint like finish like VFCs and everything else in between. Badically how accurate an AR's finish is depends on what RS AR you're comparing it to.

Redwolf airsoft did a very good review with their sexy new host. The WE is TM compatible and they actually added a spring decompression feature to their safe setting. A nice touch. Nothing sexier than a [sexy looking] woman disassembling an AEG! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=AA2p24ZLOW8
