What is a Good company under $600

Hello AirsoftCanada,

I am new in Airsoft , and is there any m4 that matches my price with good internal quality, last long , good externals, and nice extra features( like working bolt catches, blowback, functioning forward assist etc.)

My brands or choices were, KWA, VFC , G&G Top Techs, and G&P

I also want it to be craned stock because i've been thinking to put a nice 7.4 lipo, and get a magpul butstock.

I'm new and will appreciate your kindness and replys

Thank you, Aldwin

VFC, and G&P would be good bets. CA can also be found under 600 infact almost all good rifles can be found under 600 or less in the classifieds. Get "Age Verified for her pleasure". Seriously the deals amazing. CA m15A4 (M4) UNDER 500 fully upgraded used or around 450-550 brand new!

Crane stock isn't what you want those magpul buts stocks don't house batteries. Try out a madbull buffer tube w/ battery space can be found on airsoftparts

Good luck and welcome to airsoft.

EDIT: G&G aren't bad but for your budget you can do much better and KWA are good and I've heard little bad about them

But really want to save money? Check out King Arms M4A1 great rifle at a great price.

ICS m4 (because of split gearbox design)
Nothing is easier to maintain and quality is great

I am a big fan of KWA's (though I don't own any) as long as they are the newer versions. I've never seen a gun last so long without going down and needing work. However, they are more proprietary than many other AEGs. However, what I've seen of many other high-end AEGs the same could be true.

I started with a G&G and it was pretty good for the price, but nothing amazing.
My VFC worked really well, except for its lemon hop-up. Aaaand my G&P works really well too, though I had some problems trying to downgrade the fps from the import fps.

Sooo....that said, I would recommend VFC or G&P as well.

Like Cobalt said, the Magpul stocks are not good for batteries. You at very least need a LiPo buffer tube to fit anything in there, but they're still awkward. I don't mind the crane stocks for holding nunchuk batteries, but you have to be careful because not all of them are designed to hold batteries.

King Arms and VFC will have you covered in the working bolt catch. I won't recommend G&P if you're looking for a closable ejection port cover. Or good internals.

Hey aldo, more time now!

Really take the time to consider the ICS m4 (because of split gearbox design) that design allows you to switch the upper mechbox (spring and piston) in less than a minute

What you do is buy an extra mechbox an you can go from 325 fps indoors to 385 fps outdoors in seconds (check the video on you tube)

Maintenance on that gun is also breese Nothing is easier to maintain

As an example, After a game in sand, you remove the upper mechbox crack it open clean the parts in the sink with liquid soap, dry, regrease and reassemble in about 20 minutes.

Plus because you can split the gearbox you can see and act on anything going on in the lower gearbox, everything being visible you actually look at parts move! (not so with any other brand)

Since you said under 600.00$ that leaves elbow room..

you could get a full metal version of the M4A1 about (it comes already equiped with a turbo 3000 motor (noisy but bullet proof), metal spring guide and metal bushings.

The only weak spot in the system is the piston that will eventually break (use an aftermarket piston, but you'll need to cut the hook on the spring) or also switch the spring with a non linear aftermarket. (the good news is replacing a spring on an ICS M4 takes about 10 minutes the first time... less than 5 after that)

or as a buddy of mine did you buy 2 standard one for about 289$ and if one should ever crap on you during a game you just grab the spare and fixe the first one HOME not on the field.

Dont let anybody tell you that to get a decent aeg you should spend XXXX$ the most memorable failure i've witnest were on very high sticker items.

Cheers

I have to say, though, if you go for an ICS, don't expect to be able to swap out any external parts very easily, as a lot of it is proprietary.

i've been thinking to get a rail system that is free float, so i can put a holo and magnifier, is there going to be any problems, and i will be changing the body to the magpul one, is there going to be problems with the gear box?

THe rail system should be fine but like Spike said the receiver is proprietary. Only G&P and it's clones make the Magpul lowers.

Because of the split gearbox design the body is specific, also the buffer tube is real steel diameter not Tokyo marui so you have to do your homework before you buy if you want to hang all sort of stuff on it look at the ICS m4 line-up for example the 128 might be better for you.

Other propriety parts are pistol grip and up hop
But it is probably the best on the market today

Also ICS has many I quality upgrade parts available
That fit perfectly with you aeg including helicoidsle gear sets

Cheers

Hi, I am new as well and have the same question as Aldo, except Ares seems to be more popular in my area. How do they compare with ICS as I haven't seen any player with one and my friends don't seem to know either. (Waiting to get A/V'd at next opp as well.) Thanks !
