Scope rings

Am I missing something here... a standard rail is 20mm... but it seems retailers only stock 25mm scope rings... will a 25mm ring fit a 20mm rail?

(Google wasn't helpful in this regard)

Is 25mm the size of the tube; not the rail?

Oh fuck, yup, that's what it meant. Thanks. Sometimes it takes other people to point out your own stupidity.

I was thinking of requesting this be locked before I'm publically ridiculed

In my defence I've been using iron sights for the last 6 years... like a real man

I've never heard of a "standard" scope mounting rail that was 20mm.

Parker Hale and other Western European countries used 3/4 inch or 19mm.
Weaver/Picatinny rails are .835 inches, or approximately 21.2mm.
Yugoslavia, Russia and other Eastern European countries used 14mm rails.

So I am a little confused as I've never heard of 20mm rails.

A real man can use anything, including no sights! Just saying.... one doesn't use sights to throw a baseball, right?

If my gun shot baseballs I wouldn't need sights

Real men don't shoot. They kill with their bare hands. Maybe with an axe if they feel changing the routine.
