IPSC holster vs Desert eagle ?

anyone know if the IPSC locking holsters will accept a desert eagle?

I've got a pair of em, and after a couple years of heavy heavy use they are starting to need some internals replaced and/or upgraded to bring them back up to their glory.

and while we don't have CAPS here on Van island I've always wanted to do a racegun inspired build on one. which will greatly impact my normal holster use.

and I refuse to have purely wall hangers.. so ofcourse I wanna be able to take it out and let it stretch it's legs on the field. with the "race" DE on my right thigh and the "standard" DE on my left .... and a crap load of mags

I've also started talks with the Fish and game that we (SIR) have our field on. to possibly incorperate airsoft into the Action pistol program ... which would also allow them to incorperate rifles into the program also ... so another possible use for such a rig

Race holsters are gun specific. I've never seen one for a Desert Eagle, but it doesn't mean they don't exist. Granted, nothing about the gun makes sense for real steel competition use, but that doesn't mean it's not used. There are a few guys who rock it in IPSC. I have no idea what holster they use, but they pretty much run on their own, as no other gun can match the same power factor.

I would recommend you check out the CRSpeed WSM Versa holster. It may have a trigger guard assembly large enough to fit the Desert Eagle

I'll definately check it out ...

and yeah that's one of those draw backs of the DE's in airsoft... they are wicked on the field ... but with the real steal niche crowd and even the airsoft low popularity they are fairly back of the bus for stuff

thinking I might snag a couple of these

and see if I can make it work... if no go then I guess going to into Real steel world is next up.

That's a replica of the CR Speed Versa.

I think it should fit, as long as it has a trigger guard adapter wide enough to fit the Desert Eagle.

if i can find the bits of my DE off my floor, i can check if it'll fit in a CR speed

*edit* it can almost fit, but the trigger guard is too thick at the top front where the takedown lever is, so you'd have to dremel a bit on the holster to make room

sounds like I have my next project/rig set build....

how solid are the locks on said clone rigs if anyone knows? if they can hold a full metal capa race gun... my DE's weight shouldn't be an issue. ofcourse they are clones so it's hit or miss I know... neither of a pair might be the same..
