Don't buy a multicam helmet, you'll see how ugly it is once you get it up close, it'll do nothing for your camo in the bush either, it'll be really shiny and give you away
Try to find a tan or OD helmet, once those get dirty they blend in REALLY well

And others may say otherwise, but I highly recommend not buying a fake plate carrier. The real stuff is always worth the money.
Condor and ur-tactical.com make good plate carriers, and if you want to save some money without sacrificing quality, pantacgear.com is also a good option. IMO condor and tactical-tailor make amazing pouches in multicam.

If you haven't bought apparel already, I recommend tru-spec 50/50 ripstop ACU's if you don't want to spend a lot. Proper makes good stuff but their material is really thick and therefore super hot in summer. And if you have a bigger budget, ur-tactical has REALLY awesome tactical pants with integrated kneepads.

oh and all multicam brands and materials look different, so try to get your stuff from the same cut/material/company as much as possible
For example, the tru-spec 60/40 BDU's are green multicam, whereas as the 50/50 ripstop is more yellow/gray. There are about 20 different shades of multicam and 3 popular shades (gray, yellow and green)

Where are you getting this info from? Yellow? 20 shades? Different materials will make the patterns colors appear slight different.

I picked up a Multicam helmet cover for my MICH at Xtreme Tactics in Winnipeg.
Damned if I know what brand it is (I think it's Classic Army) but the colour is very close if not perfect.
It's size Small so getting it on was a real chore, but it all worked out.

They may still have some, so it may be worth your while to check them out.

I see your point ThunderCactus, I will be careful when purchasing. I really like the CRYE PRECISSION G3 COMBAT PANTS they are not cheap and I found a lot of great feedback on those....

I bought a milsig hydration vest and have used it paintballing three times now and it is pretty amazing.

Plus it is on sale right now for only $60 (I paid $90). The bladder holds 2l of water which I still didn't use after playing at a big game at wassaga beach for about 6 hours.

They also have another nice looking vest but it doesn't have a hydration pack which I will not buy a vest without now :

You don't drink 2L per game? Drink more or game harder.

Multicam fabric all comes from Duro. They have different materials i.e. NYCO PolyCott. Each item comes from a different piece of fabric cut off the roll, so the pattern is slightly different. Lighting in photos definitely has an effect, but this concept that a different manufacturers have different MultiCam Fabric is bogus.

Although you do have plenty of knockoffs. I am not sure if the big boy in the back middle might be one of those cases as it is almost neon green.

Hey TC,

I have the helmet...a little dusting of kyrlon tan and kicking the thing around in dry dirt with rocks and gravel fixes it right up

You left out SDKtactical for places to buy.

Went with Eagle, Emdom, Blue Force Gear and some Condor for the bulk and my clothing is mostly UR-Tactical's stuff (ECWCS Coat and Combat pants), Belville TR-1s for the boots and Damascus gloves. ICE Tactical and Cyre for my last two bits of multicam (Combat shirt and boonie respectively) from OPtactical.
