Okay, this is starting to bug me.

What kind of welcome have i recieved here? I didn't show up here with an attitude. I came and asked a few questions and was simply disregarded as some stupid noob who is gonna go out and cause trouble for the rest of you. There is nobody around to get hurt or even see us playing. The whole idea is we can play airsoft there and not paint all the trees around his cottage and ugly it up.

All that said perhaps we can get passed all this. You all can stop acting like i'm not good enough for your sacred sport, and i'll stop replying like a jackas*.

And i'm sorry but your guns being replicas obviously does cause problems, or else you would be able to play with them outside the specific areas without issues. Clearly it is because they can be misrepresented as the real deal and be used in robberies and such. I understand it makes everything look more realistic, but it doesn't effect the games you would play wiht them if they were changed. Or even just adding the orange tip could make a big difference.

As to my best little rainbow buddy over there, who's got at least as much attitude as i do. you say i act as a know-it-all-noob. But I have already said things like Quote:

And i will ask my original question again. For some people who don't want to throw a whole lot of money into the sport, and are just looking for some pretty basic guns to play with what do you recommend? I understand most of the pistols require green gas, we would be happy with pistols but don't want the gas. We want them to be powered by batteries or something so we don't run out of the stuff while we are out there and can't get more. We want semi-auto as well. Can you recommend a cheaper gun that would meet these requirements?

Keep in mind, AT THE COTTAGE, NOT PAINTBALL, MY PROBLEM, LET's MAKE UP, and RAINBOW IS A JACKAS*.

pathetic. While I understand where hes coming from in thinking that playing 500 miles from nowhere in his cottage is A-okay, I also know that theres a lot more to an airsoft game than meets the eyes.

For example, for our fields, we notify the RCMP everytime we plan on playing. They in turn notify EMS and the Fire Dept. so that there is no confusion or any situations when we are in the field playing. And these fields are forested, miles from anywhere.

Hey guyz, Jackals is right...
Tru got pinned by the RCMP the other week. (Why do you think he never replies to PM!) He told me he opted to give up up his rolodex of buyer info/bank info and what he sold everyone over the past few years in order to drop the charges.

it was a joke that came up last year.. and I have just neglected to replace it with something else.. The story behind Tru is very real.

You can all thank Snake01 for this and his constant badgering of Canada Customs on the legalities of airsoft.

In a post that he later deleted from the "Airsoft and Canadian Law" thread, he mentions that he called a second customs official and posed various questions to him.

Here is a quote from that post:

I asked him about how some companies receive their automatic aegs? He said there is no such thing as licenses to obtain automatic airsoft aegs that are below 500fps, so he starts asking questions but who is dealing them, and of course I completely clapped up, and I told him I don't remember where.

After that, an investigation was begun by the CFC in BC, which spread to Ottawa. Notice was spread to the Canada Border Services Agency and the Canadian Prohibited Importations Unit. Investigations further trickled down to their regions and in an internet search for "Airsoft Canada", guess what site popped as the number one hit? And guess what you see as the first forum on this board? Tru-Mart.

I got a call from the RCMP and customs today as well... My three shipments en route to me are now held for an indefinite amount of time "pending investigation."

I may have potentially lost $13,000 now.

Tru got the fingering of his lifetime... and he isn't even old enough for prostate checks yet.
