Vest pouches washable?

Long story short, during OP RHINO I bled on my vest pouches and im wondering if they are machine washable. Paper towel and water isnt doing to well. The pouches make is CONDOR.

I would never wash my gear other than with hands in tepid water.

Not sure about the brand, but there is a risk of colors being washed-out and that sucks.

Blood looks badass. Why wash it? The more realistic the better

I machine washed an OD Condor Molle vest and all of the 'Cordura' parts came out an ugly green/grey/brown colour.

Fill your bathtub with just enough water to submerse your gear (about 1/6th to 1/5th) and add about 2 tablespoons of liquid detergent.
Let soak for as long as you can stand it (20mins minimum, 1hr optimal), scrub (kitchen sponge with green scrub pad does the job), hang dry. You shouldn't need to rinse unless you're removing a hell of a lot of dirt or your laundry detergent is scummy or really concentrated.

Have a beer after all of your hard work.

I've only ever used a garden hose to clean my gear. Always seems to work fine, although I never had any large amount of blood to get rid of

I cant say i've done it for blood but I used a lysol wipe and scrub brush with a little bit of warm water and scrubbed my vest down good from all the paint that got on it at GZ and this weekend at Rhino and it got it all out.

I saw that...dude, it looked cool. I say let it go that dark black colour eventually and if someone says, "hey, you've got a spot there"...reply with "I know...it's my blood from an OP".

If it bugs you...just use a tooth brush with a bit of soap and water for the spot...or if there's a lot of other crud on the rig/pouches I just tossed it into the washer with a little bit of regular clothes detergent and then hung it up to dry.

I'd leave it, washing it out is kinda the same thing as trying to get the little scratch out of your knee pads before next game. Then again, I've never washed my ghillie............
