Tiger Stripe question
Hey Folks,
I've had a pair of tiger pants for years now, but I've never been able to identify the origin. The set on the left is common, the right I've only been able to find the pants, and that was almost 10 years ago now. From what I've been able to gather is its a reproduction version (Proper International) of the ARVN Tiger Stripe. I remember seeing it watching Tour of Duty years ago which is what prompted me to buy it, but could never find the jacket If anyone knows the true origin of these, and where to find a set it'd help me out Here's a couple pictures |

Moore Militaria has all kinds of reproduce and original Vietnam era gear and uniforms. You can find everything there

Ripstop means they're probably a repro of somesort. Moore uses authentic cloth, so it wouldn't be that.
Rothco makes a ton of stuff like that, and it looks like rothco stitching. http://www.rothco.com/general/index....d/88/from/left

the Moore Militaria stuff looks great, it lead to a comparison from what I have to what they sell
I was right to assume it was repro, and the colour difference confirms that! haha Thanks dudes! |

Yea, I wasn't trying to say it's the same. Just recommending Moores as the place to go if you want Vietnam era stuff. And yea the correct cloth is used, as well they aren't cut in the BDU design, but in the actual uniform designs of that era.
