Emerson Combat pants?
Saw these were in at ebairsoft, does anyone have any experience with them? Thoughts?

I have a pair. Much better than I expected for the price.
They have decent stitching. It is doubled in high stress areas like pocket tops and seams. The belt loops are thick and sturdy with reinforced stitching, and a thin, built-in belt pad with criss-crossed stiching on the interior. Whilst the techniques used would suggest some aptitude on the part of the maker; there are plenty of hanging threads, as is common on repro gear. Everything is in the right place to run leg holsters and other subloads, the large cargo pockets are more on the back of the thigh and there are two smaller ones lower, right above the knee. There are adjustable velcro pull tabs to secure the knee pads, pockets on the outside of both ankles and velcro on the bottom cuff to secure around your boots or inside gaiters. Comfortable fit, either in a relaxed style or all high-speed and tight to the legs. The Kneepads ARE removable. but DON'T. Reseating them again would be a pain to say the least. All in all, very happy with the buy. Unless they fall apart with light use... as I've no idea how they will wear. Won't have a chance to game them until the spring, but I'm not expecting any troubles. They seem solid overall. Interesting note: They say both "made in China" and "made in Cambodia" on the inside. Ale did yours fit propper to your size? or were they a bit smaller than a normal pair of pants would be at that size... I just ask because most China stuff, fits alot smaller than it should...

I wear a 36 pant, but bought a 38 for just that reason, Renegade. They are undersized, but not terribly. I'd say they fit like a 37.5 would if it existed.
They have a velcro clasp instead of a button or hook though, so if you do buy bigger you can cinch that over. A quality belt (cp gear riggers in my case) and bang, they fit nice and snug with only the mildest bunching between fly and first belt loop on each side. ...and before I forget again, they also have straps inside the regular pants pockets that are used to raise / lower the height of the kneepad in relation to your waist. These could be doubly useful for dummy cording items like compass' / flashlights. Last edited by Ale; December 31st, 2010 at 02:09.. Reason: Added info |

I have a pair of 36 inch and they fit like 34's which is what I normally wear. The length is about a 30 inch inseam so I would say so the taller guys are out of luck....or I should say, Out of Ruck.

Darn... I was gonna get a pair, but it doesn`t look like they`ll fit. I may splurge and get the OPS direct action pants, a little more pricey, but worth it I think.

...and?
did you get a pair? I'd be interested to see what they are like too, if you do that review.

I got mine today.
They are a nice peice of kit. They have the typical clone issues(loose threads that need ti be burned off) I'm usualy a 36/32 but order a 38 waist and that was good as the 38 fit nice. the legenth is good i measured the inseam and its 32" . The only negitiveI have is getting used to teh built in knee pads ( i dont normaly wear knee pads). I can also give good review for ebairsoft as i ordered them the 3rd and they came in today.
