"Rewire" My ICS M4 Crane

Hi guys, I bought an ICS M4 a few months ago, because I wasn't aV'ed :O

So, I took this M4, thought it was cool, because it can be used for both CQB and woodland or so.

But...the gun only use ICS's batteries, crane batteries that uses contact plates to work, no need to connect those, but these bad boys are damn hard to find !

The problem that I have is that if I want to replace my stock,(magpul....)
I just can't !

So.....I'm calling any gun doc (preferably in QC, but anyone is welcomed !)
that can rewire my gun to make it accept regular batteries, so I can mod it !
I'll pay a fair price for rewire work +shipping, all for a happy new year !!!

thanks :

You ever thought or using an external battery unit for your gun? They look like laser attachments but are hollowed out. You can buy some copper wires and extend the length of your connector from the base of the stock that meets the receiver. Also the connector plug in that area us also the same plug as the one used to plug your crane stock battery into.

If you want to use the existing batteries you have (you don't need to buy new ones) just break the plastic part that hold the batteries into that triangle formation and lay them out flat for the external battery housing.

If you want to hollow out a magpul stock to put your batteries in you'll have to wait till someone else gets back you on that. I'm not familiar with magpul stocks yet.

Depending on the stock you want to install, the wire job can be really easy of really extensive.

If you want to install a Magpull stock (any one of them), you have two choices: run LiPos but then you need a special charger and preferably a MOSFET unit, or run an external battery with a PEQ or something similar.
You can have a PEQ15 with a LiPo in it that will be a bit better than one in the stock tube. But then you have to re-wire your gun to the front.

Since this is kind of related....

So yeah, I'm thinking about rear wiring my current front wired mechbox to the official ICS cranestock....

Does anyone know if this connects to a rear wired gearbox with a mini adapter?:
https://mach1airsoft.c6.ixwebhosting...&id=271&cat=19

Is it a mini adapter? or some kind of other adapter I will have to connect the gearbox wires to...

Talking about the circled adapter...

*Nevermind, I think it's the mini adapter...*

You should be fine with that.

If for whatever reason that the connectors to not match you can always splice the cables together. My ICS M4 model is setup with the exact connector though so you should be ok with that crane stock.... Just keep in mind that you might need to pick up crane stock specific batteries with that stock. They dont have standard connectors and use two contact points for those specific batteries
