shawngordo videos
Hey guys, I recently just joined ASC and wanted to know what you guys think of my videos. I wanna say right off the battle I do have better videos in the works but almost nobody would watch all of them if I released them at the same time so that's the reasoning behind the weekly videos. Every week I try to let out 2 videos- one on a wednesday and the other on friday. Thanks for any comments about the videos, I'll try to improve on anything that comes up.

I know this one's not the most exciting but it's my most recent...my best video would probably be the one below: YouTube - 'BC' FIELD AIRSOFT GAME ON JUNE 13TH 2010

The guy blindfiring with the cmag on a ak[?] was stupid, its not really airsofting when you fire 1000 round without stopping above your head.

quality isnt bad.
advice - dont talk your an observer a ghost you do not exist otherwise quite good the snipers in the game seem a little close to their targets whats the distance from the sniper in the first video to the barn? and as for the blind firing.....not so much of a good idea... c mags are ok they are fun otherwise |

And I do agree with blind firing being bad. Personally, I think it should be a rule but I wasn't a admin at that game so I couldn't enforce that.

When I saw this video I fell over laughing. The video records the heavy breathing of the person shooting the sequence, the players look like kids who don't know the first thing about airsoft tactics, and the first players was shooting with his mouth wide open ... lol
Not bad for your first comedy short film ... |

Again, I said it wasn't my best video for a reason. I think there was 9 or 10 of us just having fun playing airsoft...But yeah, I agree Spencer (guy with the mouth wide open) had a pretty bad gaming face on there. Sort of a reason not to delete it since normally everybody who watches my videos are my friends- who would laugh at him for it. As for the shoes there was 4 of us wearing hiking boots, it's the new guys and idiots that had the shoes.

As a suggestion for filming work, Look into buying an High Vis Vest and wear it in the field. I find that wearing one helps avoid being shot by trigger happy players who can not identify there targets in the heat of the moment or simply too lazy to look. I have done allot of camera work in the past and this does help keep the "getting lit up" to a minimum.
Also try different angles to avoid in coming fire while filming and keep your distance from players as this tends to give away there position during the scrimmage. Use zoom when you can to get the best shots while avoiding flying BB's. So far your Video's look OK but ,you will find your camera skills improve over time and you will get the results your looking for. Have you watched other video's like Scoutthedoggie or Six4's on Youtube? Watch how each one does there filming and there technique's on how they go about them. You might learn a thing or two. Best of luck Cheers
