RRV setups.

Hello everybody. I've just bought the black hawk recon vest (EI RRV copy) in coyote tan and i'd like to know, whats the best setup for a RRV? Preferably to carry 8 mp5 magazines, IFAK, some grenades, ID & maps, and a camelbak in the back. I actually have no back panel for it, but im planning on buying a plain simple camelbak in multicam to be as light as possible. Post pictures as well!

The real problem is that MP5 mag pouches will take 8 MOLLE slots, and i will need to put my IFAK + grenade pouches + ID... I will not have enough MOLLE estate lol.

Put that on the bib or on the sides where the magpouchs will not fit. Or you could put them on your belt.

I've came up with a really crazy contraption, i don't know if it would be very combat practical, but there is enough space to fit everything:

Setup:
Condor EMT pouch,
Condor utility shoulder bag,
Condor ID pouch,
ESSTAC Phat Rat utility pouch,
2X grimlocs.
What do you guys think? am i better with AK pouches that can fit 3 mags each or this huge pouch?

You want to put your mags in that large pouche?
You might as well carry a purse.

having mags loose in that large pouche will ratle, move around and you will lose them. Not to mention being slow on the reload time. Get some proper mag pouches and attach them on top of that large pouch. Use that large pouch for maps and other stuff you need for a milsim.

That huge pouch would be a huge fail for holding mags. Do what FOX_111 recommended.

A leg rig would never hurt on top of having the RRV.. Or get a backing for the RRV and throw the IFAK on the back left side.. You arent going to use it that much anyways, are you?

Oh, and nobody likes a murse. And im sure you dont want to look like you're carrying a baby on your chest. Impractical IMO

There you go, took some old AK pouches, and it looks waaaay better.

Gotta wash them because they have paintball stains (Ewwww) and i'll be ready! I'll use the shoulder bag as a shoulder bag to put my P226 and some shit and giggles, and a camelbak. What kind of camelback should i use? I was really digging a multicam one, but i can't find any camelbak that suits my need, since i need one with backpack slings, but the size of a camelbak, and in multicam. Any suggestions?

A little pricy but nice no the less. Fits directly into a RRV vest.

The problem is: Blackhawk has their own back panel system, making it impossible for a EI RRV MBSS to fit on the blackhawk recon vest because of the width of the buckles. Do not quote me on that, but i'm almost sure of that.

In that case you can always use grimlocs and attach the following product to your back.

MP5 mags will wobble a lot in an AK47 mag pouche. You will lose your mags on the field!

Don't be a cheap SOB and get proper mag pouchs. Or buy new mags every now and then.

Don't be the one in the AAR thread posting about his lost mags because he did not have the proper gear. hehe.
It's not about look, it's about functionnality.
And about the molle purse... I wonder how practical this can be. I'd leave that in the car. Or have someone else carry it as an objective holder hahaha!
